The race was won by the USA and there was no other purpose to return to the moon other than the symbolic one. There were more useful things to do in space, for example building space stations, telescopes, trying to land of an asteroid (ESA did it), send rovers to Mars etc.
So there's been the scientific need to send numerous rovers to Mars over the last 50 years, with the latest being in 2021, but there's been no scientific benefit whatsoever in landing on the moon during those 50 years. That just doesn't hold water. I can give good arguments against the moon landings having been faked. But at the same time, this is a bit fishy.
You try to exaggerate to create a non-existent point.
They've been able to do all that you listed, but a single moon landing would bankrupt them. That just doesn't seem to wash. Maybe it's because they know that humans really couldn't survive it.
Like I said, I can give arguments as to how it could not have been faked as well. For one thing, since it was very much a Cold War issue, Russia was tracking and investigating it very thoroughly. And if there was a way to prove it was faked, they most likely would have discovered it.

Mars landings have happened more times and the last one was launched a couple of years ago. But as far as cost goes, when you add up the cost of all the space missions from 1972 until now, and subtract what a single moon landing say 20 years ago would've cost, I doubt the amount would be all that significant in comparison. It's just not a very sound reason in my opinion. Or put another way, it leaves room for doubt.
Provide specific numbers and scientific benefits, if you like. Your personal preference of the moon before other things is not enough. I personally agree with the mainstream that Mars is now more interesting goal than returning to the Moon.

You keep saying now, but this has been going on for 50 years. And what mainstream are you taking about? Since when has government spending ever been regulated by the "mainstream"? It comes off as just a flimsy excuse.
I'd like to see someone in this thread actually refute some of the things that were presented in the video for just five minutes from the pegged start time.
You will never believe no matter how well your belief in this false narrative is exposed. When you run across flat earthers and moon landing deniers they have decided against all odds that their beliefs are true.

You shouldn't jump to conclusions like that. I think the moon landings most likely took place. And if no one else wants to take up the challenge of refuting some points made in 5 minutes worth of video, I'll do it myself.
I've found the same is true of most flat earth deniers and moon landing believers. Personally I like to consider possibilities.
Keep in mind how many very critical thinking scientific minded very well educated people think us Christians are delusional. A lot of flat earthers belief is grounded in scripture. Their belief in scripture supersedes their belief in science.
