He told you put it into your cat? Jw....

Overall..nice job with claiming the Authority.

Yep. In the middle of the fight in my room with the dark presence, my roommates cat peaked it's head into my room and the Lord said "Put it into that cat!" So I said "Go into that cat" and the cat immediately jumped about 2 feet off the ground and ran downstairs. Then God said "It's in the cat" and had me follow it downstairs where I cast it out of the cat and into the basement. Right when I said "Get into the basement!" the furnace down there flicked on and started blowing like crazy. It was a wild night. Then God led me into the creepy old dusty basement (which I was initially terrified to do), and had me cast the demon out of the basement, off the entire property, and specifically to the West. Kind of like the sun that rises in the East and chases the Darkness Westward.

Hi Family,

Do you anoint your home?

Where do you anoint?

Why do you anoint?

~Natsumi Lam~
I might annoy my home, why I do it is a mystery. ;)

Scripturally, anointing began in Egypt during the first passover, it was used with lamb's blood. Jesus is the fulfillment of the lamb.

We are taught in scripture to anoint human beings, not places or things.
Does that mean that anointing homes is permitted?

Or does that mean that anointing homes is forbidden?

My wife kept having night terrors so we decided to anoint the house with her carrying the incense and I sprinkled holy water throughout the whole house while we recited the Lord’s Prayer. After a while the night terrors would return and we’d repeat the process. After about the third or fourth time of this reoccurring we decided to go to our local Orthodox parish and approached the priest at the end of the service for a blessing and that pretty much nipped it in the bud.

"not places or things" would include a home. So I would say it is of no use to anoint a home, however, you can anoint the owner of the home.

That doesn't answer my questions. Let's try again.

Pick one.

It means it is a waste of to anoint "things" rather than people.
I will leave it up to you on whether it is forbidden or permitted. I do not have an answer to that question as scripture does not address this type of anointing.

So it might not be a "waste" at all, eh?

Absolutely not. It's a building. I don't recall being instructed in the Bible to anoint a house.

What does this do?

What does it waste...time or oil or something else?

It's not something I have done, but there is Scriptural precedent for anointing places and things:
"Take the anointing oil and anoint the Tabernacle and all its furnishings to consecrate them and make them holy." (Exodus 40:9)

Do you really think The Holy Spirit would command you to cast a demon into your cat?
At last!!! Something a cat is good for.
I don't anoint my house. It's just another part of the world that I will be giving up someday. Haven't found any bad spirits in it yet and if I do I'll just get a cat.

I agree there are a few places early in the old testament that mention an anointing of things even a shield, but these things are obviously Holy items in the verse you have provided. There is no reference in the New Testament and we are under the "new covenant" now.

Acts 19:12

so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
