Annoyed, and know I probably shouldn't be, regarding Prayer Forum.

P.S. The way I always heard that story is that when the snake bit the woman she complained, "Why did you bite me? I was so nice to you, trying to help you!" And the snake replied, "You knew I was a snake when you picked me up." End of story.

That tale has been told with various animals in various renditions. Here's my favorite:

Sometimes I see some people on the prayer forum who often ask for prayers, yet as far as I can tell they rarely, if ever, post prayers, or respond to requests for prayers, for anyone else. My temptation is just to pass them on by and pray only for others. Really, that's what I usually do.

Someone talk me out of my attitude. Or, maybe it is best to pray mostly for those others? After all one only has some much time to post.
“Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:5-7‬ ‭

Love is tested in situations where it's hardest to love. In those moments we feel like avenging or paying back bad for bad (like not praying for those who seemingly don't pray for others), God requires us to Love. We are more like Christ when we love and show kindness to those who least deserve it. After all, God does the same for us continually.
Btw, most of us pray in secret without letting everybody know. Some occasionally post as the spirit leads. In the later, we shouldn't be like the Pharisees who liked to show-off!

Your Bible verses of course are to honored. However, my dilemma was deciding where to put my time. There is only so much of it in the world. I was also not seeking revenge. I was not seeking honor, either, though it seems I indeed had been easily irritated!

Really, this issue has been resolved for me since people have shown me that they sometimes pray, but leave no record of their prayers. I should have thought of that myself.

That tale has been told with various animals in various renditions. Here's my favorite:
I went to YouTube to see what the narrator meant by "cave people." Still confused on that, though I guess some know what he meant. Looking at the comments under the vid, I agree with the person who said the scorpion is like a sociopath. I have just lately been watching vids particularly on narcissism, but also on sociopathy. (Surviving Narcissism by a Christian psychotherapist is a great channel.)

My whole world view has been changed in a lot of ways! Now I understand so many people from my past and am so glad, in many cases, that I got away from them, for I now see how much more awful things would have gotten if I had stayed.

There are a lot of scorpions out there, folks. A whole lot. May we be protected from them.

But, I guess we have veered off topic.

I thank everyone for their responses and, again, I do feel I have the advice I need now.

Seems you might be trying to get some kind of revenge on people you believe to have done wrong.

You are not giving advice. That is what this Forum is for. You are simply being insulting. There is nothing in my posts to indicate any desire for revenge. If you will get a definition for the word "revenge" you will see that it involves some kind of retaliation for some harm you feel has been done to you. How could those people have done me any harm? Where did I even hint that they had done me any harm? Perhaps it would also help for you to look up the word "retaliation." It always helps to clearly understand vocabulary words. BYE!

Hmm... you posted in your OP, "Someone talk me out of my attitude" so I was merely sharing with you what might be the problem with said attitude. Sorry I bothered.

Sometimes people get stuck in their personal crisis and get a little blinded to others needs. My recommendation would be to follow the Spirit's leading and pray for those you feel strongly need it. Try not to judge who is asking based on their lack of social prayers. We may not see their prayers online but they could be praying privately.

I will tell you what I do, I have a prayer list in wich I like to pray for those who are in need of healing and also I pray for loved ones and anyone that I am trying to bring to Christ. We are all in need of praying for so this is what I do write everyone name down on a list and bring them before god daily.

Some people may be insecure about their intercessory abilities.

Or some may be going through a time of great confusion that they could hardily have the clarity of mind to pray.

If one is called to a prayer ministry, why not serve without expecting anything in return?

And the above was my last post. As I said, above, I got the advice I needed. But some people are ignoring that and going into insult mode.

Sometimes you just have to exit, sad but true. I understand, I have done the same at times for same reasons.
