Ecclesiastes 3:19, 21

19 Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless.

21 Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?”

So if humans go to heaven, why not animals? If we do not know that animal spirits go to hell, why should we assume they do?

Then you do not know the mind of the cat ----we do not own them, they own us. As far as they are concerned, you have been put on this earth to take care of them and pet and stroke them when they want it. And they will condescend to show us affection if they are in the mood for it.

I was strictly responding to Daniel's comment about human slaves, of course - the kind that lived in some states and territories before 1860. Being a cat's slave is totally different, if you want to call me one.

@ChristianForCats I won't attack your posts but I will post my own. Here is some new material.

Some people are saying because animals were created first that somehow they have a special blessing with God,well I have three points of disagreement with that:

1)God also created the heavens and the earth and the stars and the firmament,light,waters,sea,sun,moon,trees............these things came before mankind in existence but are all these things more important to the creator than the one created in his own image?

2)It was already decided by God before Mankind was created that we would rule over animals and nature:

Genesis 1
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

3)Things changed after the flood. Man and beast exited under a different set of circumstances:

Genesis 8
14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,
16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.
17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:
19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
20 And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

-God told Noah to take control of the animals as they left the man-made Ark.
-God made a covenant with Noah,not the animals.
-The animals were just offered up on a alter for an offering to God,they played not intimate role with God after this significant milestone of history.

Genesis 9
9 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

So God is not showing animals love here but putting ''dread'' into them,because he loves man,women and children and strives for our redemption and love. The animals are for our sustenance and survival as well as the other parts of the natural creation.

God told Noah to take all of the animals with him. Why do you think He told Noah to put one pair of each, a male and a female, in the ark? Obviously God did not want any species that moves on the ground to be extinct. So why would He tell Noah to kill them?

That can only mean one thing: don't kill any animals with blood to eat them. God clearly loves all animals that have blood.

Blood is for atonement, in both the old and new Testamant. without it being shed there can be no reconciliation with God:

Leviticus 17:11
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Hebrews 9
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

It means you are in error when you said

The scripture I showed you shows God tells people not to eat the blood,because it's for atonement.

You know kosher laws? Jews can't eat pork,they also can't eat blood.

And the blood in respect of the NT is Christs blood being shed on the cross to atone for humanities sin making believers clean for heaven.

Leviticus specifies which animals with blood people are allowed to eat and which animals are prohibited. I don't know why any animals in the sea are banned but it says land animals must chew cud and have split hooves, which rules out pigs.

The clean animals still had to have their blood drained. That's what it meant---no eating of blood was ever allowed.

Well if you want to address that post why don't you comment on this. I think it opposes your idea of God loving animals:

Genesis 9

If God did not love animals He would not have created them and said, "Let them be fruitful and multiply." He would not have liked everything he made after creating all of the animals. Don't you know He loved all of the things He created? Anyone who read Genesis 1 can see that very clearly.

Not to those who have never loved or been loved. You can not explain love, it has to be experienced.

Would you expect anyone who joined this forum to have no love? I am sure everyone in this thread loves God and some people because this is the Baptist section, so only Christians can post in it.

Even if someone never personally experienced love with a pet or livestock animal it should be very easy to understand our all-loving God would never create animals just to hate them. That would make Him an evil God.

Trust me---met several "Christians" who never really have ben loved---even as children, and have never really loved anyone. It is hard to comprehend, but this is an evil world and many children are gowning up with nothing but anger and hatred in their hearts. They try to understand love, but it's hard for them. Jesus needs to come soon. These are the ones that end up abusing animals, and then go on to abusing people. U knew a couple who were even deacons in their churches and married---no one knew for years, until their spouses couldn't take any more and left them. Then it all came out. There was one poor woman who posted on here about her husband hiding his true abusing behavior. Always super nice around the church people.

DanielC what do you actually have against animals?
You seem to like to infer because a person loves animals, they don't also love people.
And that if they love animals then it must mean they worship them which is ridiculous, you even stated that on another post.

I agree with the posts that others such as brinny and christian for cats have said and as far as the animals in the ark, only a minor few were used for sacrifice so why did God save all the rest?
Could it be because He loved all the different animals and saw NO reason they should.all die out because of mankind's sin?
God said when He created them that they were GOOD?
If you were ever to have experienced the pure love of an animal that loves you, you would understand us.
I have had experience with the happiness that dogs (mine) as many others, have given to the elderly who are often lonely, with dementia patients who would light up when they would see them and smile for the first time.
The same goes for cats and horses when people interacted with them.
They can often reach people when others have not been able.

So don't ever try to tell me that the animals that God created are not good and that God does not love them.

And I love animals too,especially on a bun with tomato ketchup poured over it. Jokes aside though.

This thread was Just to get (Christian) people views on animals. And there's been two main things that have stood out from the people who clearly hold animals highly:

1)They have no scripture where God is supporting there ideas

2) They accuse a lot. And that is a problem

Satan accuses night and day to have Gods creation (Mankind) condemned. So anyone who accuses has the spirit of Satan in them. God has grace whilst Satan accuses and unfortunately many of the animal radicals here have been making damaging accusations against me personal falsely,accusing:

Revelation 12:10
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

This is why I said right at the beginning that animal worship is heathen. Animal loving isn't found in the Bible,that's my point and men,women and children come before them.

If God loves those created in his image more than than the beasts of the earth,why don't you?

And in regard to the actually character of animal lover. Some are more moderate but the extreme ones I have seen are strange to me. Treating a cat or Dog like a son or daughter,ok if you're a heathen but the God of the Bible expects better. Spending all your time and money helping animals not your fellow humans is perverse thing to do for a Christian as Jesus told us to help the poor,widows he healed the sick. We know what Christs priority was so sorry you're not going to win me over,especially when the other animal people have been accusing like Satan.
