  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I’m sitting here in my backyard with my cat, and a rabbit is sitting eating grass and clover. It occurs to me that I have seen much more wildlife in my yard this year than in the past...an eagle overhead, multiple hawks, rabbits by the half dozen, all sorts of birds including many I haven’t seen before, a fox, many deer, turkeys, frogs, snakes, squirrels, chipmunkss, a skunk, a porcupine, mice, moles, even a bear...

Not sure why they are so prolific (and not sure why the rabbits don’t seem frightened by the cat), but it sure is nice to sit and watch (and up close - I don’t have a large backyard...)

I believe it's one of the ways that God blesses us; Sending His creatures our way.

I believe He intends to bless you this way, Shoe. :)

"Nothing will harm or destroy in all my holy mountain - for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Adonai as the waters cover the sea". I love it, thank you for sharing that, it is heart-warming :)

That is awesome! Praise God! He made your backyard into a zoo, or Noah's Ark. :) thanks for sharing!

I was blessed the same way during the last year. Not at home, but wherever I went, I even saw a white deer AND it's white deer baby. :)

A jackalope...haven’t seen one yet, but the way things are going, one never knows. I’ll post a picture when I get it, right after the yeti probably...

I'd love to see an eagle overhead & a deer in the yard. I hope to never see, or worse smell, a skunk in the yard. Or a bear.
I wasn’t home when the bear showed up this year (next door neighbor saw it and warned my wife)...though a few years ago, it was chowing down on my trash when I came home from work.

How did you react to the bear? Or better question, how did it react to you? Was it too distracted by your trash to notice you? I'd be excited & terrified to see a bear in my yard, lol.

It retreated into the woods when my headlights lit it up. Trash was strewn everywhere. I went in the house and came out with a new trash bag and started picking it up. I had a flashlight and noticed that there were some eyes glowing in its light about 100 yards away. I decided the trash could wait until the morning...”excited & terrified” about sums it up.
