The Perfect Response
posted by Robert Haddad on Wednesday, 14 November 2012 at 06:15 ·

Jesus replied:
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:37-39

Have you ever known one of those people
who knew just the right thing to say on every occasion?
No matter how puzzling the question, they have the right answer.
The enemies of Jesus must have viewed him as a silver-tongued genius.
Every time they got together to set a verbal trap for Jesus, he had just the right thing to say.

One time Jesus’ enemies tried to stump him
by asking him to pick one commandment that was above all others.
But Jesus had the perfect answer.
He started with the priority of a relationship with God.
Not just any relationship with God, but an all-encompassing relationship with God—
a relationship that touches the deepest parts of who we are and what we desire.

God is also concerned with our relationships with other people.
Jesus calls us to have a love for others that goes beyond our selfish nature.
We should love others the way we want to be loved.

Our priorities are set by God and reaffirmed by Jesus.
Make sure you’re following those priorities.
And discover just what it means to live life the way God designed it!

Prayer

Dear Lord, Thank you for every relationship in my life right now.
Help me to make all of my relationships a priority
and love them the way that Christ has commanded.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

:amen:

Thank you Robert Bro'

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.
Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.
He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed
as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt.
The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.
Each of our troubles is a stepping-stone.
We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less from people but more from yourself.

You have two choices... smile and close this page,
or pass this along to someone else to share the lesson .

Just over the hill
Around the next bend
Where your hopes and dreams
Still Live

Past all the red lights
The bills that are due
Beryond all the deadlines
And commitments accrued

Just over the bridge
And beyond the old barn
Awaits a place
Only heaven can grace

It's here that you'll find
Your spirit renewed
It's here you'll discover
Perfectly clear
The thing that's been missing
For so very long
Just out of reach
Only inches away
Playfully calling your name

Just over the hill
Around the next bend
Where the noise and confusion
Come to an end
Where your thoughts come
together
And your Soul fully thrives
It's here you'll discover
the You that's inside

A MUST READ
After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head.
With so many difficulti
es, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.
He and the rest of the team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his hand through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement, “A child ! There is a child !“
The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.
The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said, “If you can survive, remember I love you.” This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Everybody that read the message wept. “If you can survive, remember I love you.” Such is the mother’s love for her child!

That's the inherent problem of circulating chain letters. Nobody checks the facts, they just go on the feel-good vibes. I have the additional problem with these that too many of them imply that I'm a bad person if I don't forward it to everyone in my address book. I don't, so I guess that makes me a bad person.

A 'mother' would shield her child ...

and I too, would doubt, that she would have time-sufficient to post a text message

On the strength of the picture alone...
I show you, 'the love of a mother for her child'
~albeit, somewhat more, than a few months old
While 'other pictures', show a differently dressed child [much younger]

Jesus, showed us [and shows us] much, of such love

However repeated, such stories do, pass-on, the 'loving hope' of many, for others
iow: good-endings, amongst the the terrible stories

His peace be on us all :amen:
