Soul Mates, Blind Lily and Her Guide Dog Maddison

Lily was puppy when she was struck down by a condition
that caused her eyelashes to grow into her eyeballs, damaging them beyond repair.
At the time, she was living with seven-year-old Great Dane, Maddison.
Maddison knew instantly that Lily was blind and took her under her wing.

Since then, the two have been inseparable:
...
“Maddison is Lily’s guide dog.
If they are out and about, for the majority of the time Maddison will lead and Lily will walk
nearly touching her so she knows where to go. It’s lovely to watch.
Maddison is always looking out for her.
They curl up together to go to sleep as well.”

Sadly Lily and Maddison’s owners were unable to look after the dogs
and gave them to the Dogs Trust Re-Homing center in Shrewsbury, UK.
The owner of the center wouldn’t dare separate these soul mates.

ROFLOL..... the carrot on the RIGHT looks like our first crop this year

We have used SAND in the drill, to allow the carrot to swell in otherwise tight clay-soil
Preparing soil, by digging in compost /rotted leaf litter
before planting out, really-does help the carrots to grow 'more-productively'
as does the removing of stones and pebbles in and around the drill
because the quicker, these root-vegetables can sink roots
the better they can flourish and build their bodies

I suppose it depends on who is going to eat the thing. I understand rabbits are really interested in the part above ground, so the rabbit on the right has the better plant. We want the roots, so the carrot on the left gets out interest.
