  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello, I was interested in buying a new study bible but which ones would you say are anabaptist in nature, such as teachings in the footnotes, etc? I'm thinking the king james or new king james would be most appropriate. What say ye? :D

Thanks for your reply tulc. Im ok with either nkjv or kjv. I was thinking the king james study bible from thomas nelson, notes look very anabaptist it seems, i know it has an independent baptist slant.

I hope this works (I am technologically impaired)...its a link to "Anabaptist Perspectives" featuring Dean Taylor. He answers your question within the first couple minutes of the linked video.

Please listen to his entire commentary as he gives a great perspective of an Anabaptist world view.

Revised Standard Version seems to me to have been the best (English Language Bible) to start with and to continue with for decades.

Others might be suitable , Yahuweh Willing, for some people, but many so-called "study" Bibles, including highly recommended ones, have a lot of on purpose built in errors.
