  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why do you lie to us. Jews have not been keeping the torah because there is no temple and no sacrifices are being conducted as commanded to you. This means no jewish peoples are right with Gd.

If you do not perform the commandments, you are in sins - Leviticus

We were told by the Prophets that we would spend long without king or sacrifice. Our first exile, into Babylon, showed that if one is unable to keep a commandment that is not the same as breaking it. You are making up rules that do not exist in the Torah or shown to us by the Prophets.

Why do you make things up and accuse me of lying?

You asked if you're going to Hell. Why?
Because you said I was. I just don't understand why I would be sent when I've done what I was told to do.
Christians believe chapter 53 of Isaiah is about Jesus. It accurately
depicts his history, crucifixion and resurrection.

He had no children. He died after a short life.

No I didn't. God said that. Don't blame me because I didn't
get to make the rules, i.e. law, commandments, etal.
He had no children. He died after a short life.
Right, Jesus had no children. I don't understand the point
you're wanting to make. Please excuse my lack of understanding.

I don't think He said that really. I think it was a merging of several non-Jewish cultural ideas that were around at the time of the emergence of the Christian sect. We were never threatened with torment.

It's a whole discussion about Isaiah 53. If it applies to Jesus then it's a problem because he had no zera, no physical children.

But, let's be honest. No reason for us to dig into Isaiah 53. Our interpretations are not compatible with each other and we're not going to convince each other.

That's irrelevant.

You do not offer propitiation for your sins because there is no temple and no sacrifices. Period. You are not right with Gd. Period.

I answer to one judge and that is not you. You have no right to tell anybody their status with the divine.

True! True! True!

You are absolutely right. While we must make judgements on a
daily basis we have no justification in judging one's status with
the one and only Living God.

Would it bother you if you lived your life with one belief and when you died you found out that more than just Christians made it into Heaven? Honest question here, no baiting or anything.

You before were denying salvation, post 103 I think, but Jews believe in a redeemer. There is no difference but you disguise this for some unknown reason.

Jewish faith lies in obeying and offering propitiation. You do neither but cannot come to confess that the Jewish people are in the wrong.

As to the question in this post, I fully expect all Israelites to rise again, but some to shame eternal. That is not heaven but "shame eternal".

First of all in order to answer your question with honestly there needs
to be a degree of doubt. I have no doubt whatsoever.

I'm serious. Jesus is LORD. Jesus is God.

The redeemer is identified in scriptures many, many times. HaShem Himself is our redeemer. I disguise nothing.

You clearly do not understand the Jewish faith. That is not surprising as you view my faith though your lens instead of viewing it on its own.

So, my delimma is to side with you or side with someone like Hosea who says:

Take words with yourselves and return to the Lord. Say, "You shall forgive all iniquity and teach us [the] good [way], and let us render [for] bulls [the offering of] our lips

I'll side with Hosea. Though our prayer, we render the sacrifices. :)

I understand that. But would you be angered if Jesus let more people in?

That's a cop out.

The only reason the Sanhedrin ended its labors is because the temple was destroyed otherwise the Jewish people would still be sacrificing as the law orders as given by Moses. There is no substitute to propitiation... it is by blood as Gd tells us in Deuteronomy. Period. You kid yourself really, I mean no disrespect.

You are using the same word but with a different meaning. We do not believe we need to be saved from Hell.

How did Daniel get right with HaShem?

Salvation to a Christian is redemption by the redeemer and the hope of resurrection.

How did Daniel get right with HaShem?
Seeing you got "salvation" wrong, what else can we come up with.

Daniel prayed 3 times a day as appropriate but the book does not describe him offering propitiation. Even so, that does not mean he did not set up an altar out behind his home.
