  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

An attempt to eliminate God.

God Himself does not change, but He certainly requires different things of different people.

Have you marched around Jericho lately?
Now that is extremely ridiculous! Was the march around Jericho part of the Ten Commandments? Does God require A man in India not to Covet but in Trinidad it is OK to covet? Not telling lies are required by God of Americans but not Mexicans? The whole idea is ugly!

It is certainly important to see the impossible standard to which we would be enslaved without Christ!

By the implication of this post, I can assume you keep each precept of the old Law to a T, right? Ritual or otherwise? It's all equally part of "all scripture" after all...
Do you not think that all the rituals that Joseph kept would be good enough?

Did Joseph say he kept the Sabbath? No. As far as the scripture quoted here I'm pretty much unimpressed with most adventists in these threads how they ignore scriptures they themselves quote to try and lambast those who disagree with their twisted doctrine.
Yes he did!!!. Every Week!

The absurdity of your stance is what was illustrated for you. The problem is your communication skills. It shine through your understanding of Scripture and abuse of English. I do realize English may not be your native language.

What rituals did Joseph keep? I either do not remember them or did not read about them because they are not included in the Scripture.
Joseph kept whatever rituals the prison required of him then kept whatever rituals that were required of Egyptian royalty. It is ironic that Joseph was second to Pharaoh and could have possibly commanded a Sabbath of folks and never did it.

No, Joseph didn't say he kept the Sabbath. The obvious omission from your post is a quote saying that he did. And, you're not going to find such a quote.
Genesis 50
24 And Joseph said to his brethren, “I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” 25 Then Joseph took an oath from the children of Israel, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here.” 26 So Joseph died, being one hundred and ten years old; and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.
You have to add over 300 years to Joseph before the Sabbath was spoken into existence. Let's see if this fable makes sense from a previous post.

Elder111 is in Barbados. He isn't an American. Do the math.

We aren't here to attribute the reason you're consistently wrong. However, the consistency attests to more than just mistakes after being shown the Law's testimony so many times.

You think he only had the part about adultery? God don't work so!
I'm sorry but unless you can prove Egyptians were keeping the Sabbath then you really have no point because before Joseph Abraham lied about his wife to them and was later found out...

That is the point!
If those things are not record in the Scripture what are you barking about? Since those things re not in the Scripture why are you pulling them from thin air speaking about them as though they were in the Scripture. In discussing the Scripture there is no need to introduce fantasy.

There is refusal to hear Elder 111, and the stopping of the ears. Having a form of Godliness, a mere form of religion, a round of ceremony and long show of prayer and formality, a pretense at knowledge of the will of God, in which it is claimed that there is obedience to God, all the while there is absolutely no power over sin, no victory, for the decision to remain in transgression when the Light has come to such, yet claiming holiness and the righteousness of Christ Jesus, who cannot know the children of disobedience, for Christ Jesus always obeyed His Father, and would never transgress the 7th Day the Sabbath of the LORD His God, there being no sin in Him, and so from such, Elder 111, the scripture says, turn away. Let there be grief, and pleading with God that there may yet be repentance granted these, for such can only die in/with their sins, but still, turn away, and wipe the dust of death from your feet, and take the message to others, who may yet hear, turn unto others, that they may have opportunity to accept before the door closes upon them forever. Do not let those which continually crucify Christ to themselves afresh and so waste your God-given and precious time and cast not the pearls away to them which only trample upon such wisdom, for the shame of their nakedness will appear in all its hideousness soon enough, and then, there will be such agonizing regret and such a sorrow as we will never have to know. See the example of Jesus Himself, who wept at the eternal loss. Let such go on in professed ignorance, it will be seen for what it is soon enough, for the judgment is soon to come to them and the Ten Commandments of God be seen in the Heavens [Psalms 50:6, 97:6, 119:172; Isaiah 51:6], and they will awaken soon enough, yet too late, by that which is coming.
