I never understood shutting down everything would help anybody. I mean, if you are afraid of living, stay home. If not, go outside see your friends and so on. Why is it ok to governments decide for people where they can go and who they can see? It’s far from ok. Altough im glad many people did go to see their friends even we were told not to.

Interesting too that the article suggests that the community reached herd immunity when 90%(!) of the families had at least one infected member. Not sure that's something to celebrate...

And I suspect herd immunity would take 85-90% of the population to have been infected.

Probably almost all were infected. Not everyone gets symptoms. I guarantee they aren't being tested.

Citation? bear in mind that, as previously explained, reports of adverse reactions are not necessarily vaccination-related, and - as seen with other drugs - on statistical analysis, the vast majority reported through the Yellow Card system and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) turn out not to be related.

Meanwhile, at least 5 million Covid deaths have been reported, which, given the known under-reporting in major populations (e.g. India, Africa, Russia) is likely to be a substantial underestimate of the total (some sources think the India toll may be up to 10 times higher than government figures).

But taking the figures at face value gives a one in 16,500 chance of some kind of adverse reaction to the vaccine (jabs 6.6 billion / reported adverse reactions 0.4 million), against a best case of one in 1,600 chance of dying from Covid (world population 8 billion / reported deaths 5 million, ignoring the fully vaccinated).

So, very crudely, in a worst-case comparison for the jab, you're still an order of magnitude more likely to die of Covid than to get an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

If it was just tapwater, I guess you'd have to put the protection it provides against infection, hospitalization, and death from Covid down to the placebo effect - but the randomized control trials during the testing phase showed this not to be the case, and the level and consistency of protection provided by the vaccine in the general population is not consistent with a placebo effect.
