  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Could they have paused longer before announcing the winner?
Oh I know! We fast forwarded through probably 75% of the show last night. Between all the recaps and clip segments, this could have been a 15 minute show. And how much does Matt want to be Ryan Seacrest, anyway?? :D

We'll find out..... AFTER the break!

The winner of American Inventor is........

LOL!

And the audio problems - if Matt said, "Look, he's speechless!" one more time when the remote locations couldn't hear him talking, I thought I would gag.

Okay, so I didn't really care for the finale. ;) But I am glad for the winner. I read a TV Guide interview online yesterday with Peter Jones where he was saying that if the baby seat won, it would never - he emphasized never - make it to market. He said we would not see it for sale on the market. He was quite insistent that it was a bad design and had too many problems to be successful. I guess we'll see, and I for one hope he is very, very wrong.

I liked the Word Ace better. The winner basically invented a carseat. It's a good invention that very unique but it's still a carseat.

I can see the carseat having problems getting to market because there are so many federal regulations. Unless the design is better than what we have.

I loved the Word Ace...once you play it enough it could be somewhat addicting I would imagine...I'm definately gonna get one of those by Christmas if they are on the market by then.
The bicycle IMO shouldn't have been one of the final 4. The bathroom stall lady should have been in his place...I mean, a head on crash could be very bad for whoever's in the front!!! You would definatly need knee pads as well as a helmet to ride that!!! Did the finished product have a seatbelt?
