  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Love the Sopranos comparison! But I'm in the group that actually found that an attractive look on Ace  when seen straight on, as if he might have had a haircut--much more manly looking.
I found him rather attractive. I hate the girly hair flying all over the place. And he didn't do that creepy stare into the camera look.
I thought everyone looked smashing. And Paris certainly cleaned up nice compared to the trashy look she had going on last week. But then again, it was Queen week.
But still having said that, Goodbye Ace. It's been nice knowing ya.

Ace: Please don't dippity-do your hair like that again. I thought I had accidentally flipped to "The Sopranos".;) You got a little too giddy when Simon didn't say you were awful. That came across just a little too...well neeeedy. Buh-bye.:sorry:
Sopranos??? No way. That was straight out of Pulp Fiction.

Maybe it's because he's an old fart like me, and so he knows all the words to those oldie songs and couldn't resist! :p

Ace's hair was the Pulp Fiction style for sure, but I never actually noticed the resemblance to John Travolta until you put them side by side! LOL! ^_^ I think the Sopranos tie-in is because of the liberal use of hair gel a la Syl and Paulie, and there was a love interest of Carmella's at one point that was from Italy who had the slicked-back ponytail look.

When Ace first came on stage, my daughter was saying that he had a BUN! I was relieved to see the Pulp Fiction ponytail instead. A ponytail on a guy I can take, but a BUN!?!

I don't think I would mind Ace's long-hair look IF he would get a decent haircut to even it out instead of it all being concentrated at ear level, and it sure couldn't hurt to brush it once in a while. ;)

I actually thought all of the contestants did well last night, and I was pleasantly surprised because I thought with the scheduled genre  it was going to be the opposite.

I thought Ace and Kellie did very well for Ace and Kellie. I didn't think Kellie was as bad as they (and she) were saying. Unlike Randy, I'm not a fan of Ace's "false" (or any other man's for that matter :D ), so I would have preferred him to leave that out, but otherwise I thought it was a good Ace performance, with the new look definitely being a help.

Even though Katharine is a good singer and I will usually give her props for that, her version of Someone to Watch Over Me didn't even compare to whoever sung it on Mr. Holland's Opus, which is my favorite rendition ever.

I thought Paris really shone. She moved up in my estimation with that performance.

Wish Elliott would have picked a better song. I'm afraid he may be in the bottom 3 again.

As usual, loved Chris and Taylor, and so this is how I rated last night's performances:
  1. Chris
  2. Taylor
  3. Paris
  4. Katharine
  5. Elliott
  6. Kellie
  7. Ace

Last night bored me a little. I mean everyone did okay for the most part but it just didn't have much excitement or personality. In general I think this season has kind of fallen flat through this middle stretch and just isn't as interesting/exciting as it was earlier on or as past seasons at this point in the competition.

It was good to see my man Chris back last night. As I stated here, he really hasn't been that great (IMO) the last couple of weeks. He was simply awesome last night!

Ace did better last night. He looks 100% better with the hair back. He should consider getting a haircut. :D

I predict Elliott will go tonight. He has a good voice, but he's just...boring!

Darn, I missed the SNL video before they pulled it "for copyright infringement"! It surely sounded funny! :D

I am really doubting that Chris is in the bottom three, but you just never know. I can't judge it by busy signals, as we always seem to get through. Even last year between Carrie and Bo--of whom we voted for, we got through. And, yep, we voted for BOTH even on the last night.

There are different sites out there that post their "unscientific" data, and the results are all over the place--but Ace was always on the bottom, so we'll see. And SOON!

Isn't tonight the night that Ryan splits them into two groups of three and asks the last peerson which group he/she is in?

Using DialIdol scores, we'd have Ace, Paris, and Chris on the left, Taylor, Elliot, and Katherine on the right, and Kellie playing monkey in the middle.

:D

DialIdol was dead-on this time. They only had Paris sit down for the dramatic effect.

I could NOT believe that Chris was in the bottom three, but from what I am reading on other forums, a lot of Chris fans were voting for Elliott, so that he wouldn't go before Ace. I guess we will find out if that is true.

Well, no more steamy looks and hands trying to grab at me and my children and ear-piercing falsetto. Buh-bye, pretty boy.

My favs have changed..

male - Chris, he sings good no matter what he pics, even if he does not win, he will go somewhere.. Taylor is good for the fun, but do not like his voice that much.. Elliot is better then him.
female - Paris, even though her voice is annoying, she sings too good and she even did Queen awesome, she will last imo, Katherine next then Kelli, who if does one more bad note, will be gone.. she got petty votes

Mandisa sang better then all of them.. imho

peace

I loved last night's show. I thought everyone except for Kellie did extremely well. I wasn't impressed with Ace either, but it could have been a lot worse. My favorite guys are definitely Elliott and Chris in that order. I enjoy Paris' singing voice as well, but like most of you, do not care for her speaking voice ;) I'm just not a Kat fan at all. She has a decent voice, but she seems so aloof or something. Can't place my finger on it, but she's "out there" in la la land most of the time it appears.

I agreed with tonight's vote off, but I do wish it had been Kellie personally as well. However, I am absolutely stunned that you know who was in the bottom 3. Why on earth was he there? I could not believe it...and he certainly did not deserve to be there. Anyhow, there is my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Oh...Savedsis (I think it was you hun) mentioned about not being able to get through for Elliott. It was the same here for me. He has a very strong fan base, and I think he's going to do really well if the fans keep voting like this. :) I'm wondering how many he'll lose of those trying to keep Chris safe now though?

I personally have lost ALL respect for this show. To put Taylor on the spot like that is despicable. The show has no class, and I can't believe I ever wasted my time watching it. I will NEVER watch it EVER again.

They've done it in seasons past too when there are 7 contestants left. It's just the producers way of trying to keep the "drama" going. It is TV afterall. I agree, it is unfair to the person who has to choose (in this case Taylor), but I'm not surprised at anything on reality shows any more.
