  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Favorite book of the Bible-
My favorite is probably the book of Romans. I could try to give an in depth answer but the truth of the matter is, I love it because of what is found in Romans 8 and 9.

You listed two Reformed Baptists in your list of most influential people. Are you a Reformed Baptist?

No, I am not a Reformed Baptist. I am a Southern Baptist who is reformed...or at least would be considered to have reformed leanings.

Do you believe in the five points of Calvinism?

I'll put it to you this way...I like John Piper, Matt Chandler, Alistair Begg, R.C Sproul, Russell Moore, Albert Molher, Greg Gilbert, Mark Dever, and the like. Am I a Calvinist? Some would say yes and some would say no. I prefer to be called myself Reformed because honestly at times I struggle with the doctrine of limited atonement. Do I believe man is totally depraved? Yes. Do I believe that God's election is not based upon anything I can do, anyone else can do, or upon any merit in man...that it is unconditional? Yes. Do I believe that the saints shall preserver until the end? Yes. Do I believe God's grace is irresistible? Yes. So I realize it is illogical then to struggle with limited atonement at all...yet I do. I am sure one day I will make a final decision on where I stand. So for that reason I hesitate to label myself a Calvinist.

Total depravity is not the doctrine that man is totally depraved, thank goodness. What's your view on evolution?

What I mean when I say "totally" depraved is that because of the fall of man every person born into the world is enslaved to sin. Apart from the grace of God, he or she is unable to choose to follow God, refrain from evil, or accept the gift of salvation as it is offered. I'm a creationist.

Ultimate goal in life?

Ultimate life goal...well it was to live and do mission work in Ireland but since God closed that door, at least for now, it is more of a "do what God has placed before you, bring Him glory, and enjoy him forever" type thing. We can make all the plans we want but God directs our steps.

Who is P.F Chang???
P.F. Chang's is a Chinese Bistro.

if you could time travel, what time would you go to?
That's an interesting question. Here's what popped in my mind.
1. Late 1700's- early 1800's- I think I have a romanticized view of this era and would like to see the truth without the rose tinted glasses. Plus, I'd like to see the first strands of our nation in it's infancy.
2. The era of the early church- I would love to talk to the early church fathers. I would love to talk to them about doctrine and see what they would say over some of the "controversial" issues of today and recent past.
3. 1980- to see my grandmother, she died a few days after I was born and there is always a little bit of me that wishes I could have talked to her.

- Do American churches often send missionaries to Europe?

- Is Europe seen as a mission field (sry, I don't know what's the proper expression for it in English) there like Africa?

- Is there "Guide for American missionary going to Finland"?

- If there is, can I read one online?
