Are we discussing the Allah of the Islamic faith or the title "Allah" used by Arabic speaking Christians? The former is false the latter is perfectly acceptable.

The WORD ~Allah~ not the "concept" of belief derived from the Islamic faith.

Some do confuse the issue.

I've read MANY threads on this forum where people refer to Allah as the God of the Muslim's as if this is a proper name of some "false god" and that is just not true, so I would really like to set the record straight and educate those who are unaware of the fact that "Allah" is the ARAMAIC WORD ~for~ GOD.

The god in which the Muslims call Allah, is not the true God..by this I mean the god they worship is not God..

The Muslims worship the one true God, their God is our God. However they have limited understanding of our God.

Muslims have a limited understanding
Jews have more
Protestants more than them
Orthodox even more
Catholics have the fullness of revelation.

There was a King of a great kingdom, whom the immediate family knew as loving and good, the servants of the castle also gave praise for His goodness but the ambassadors who proclaimed to serve Him did Him injustice. They told stories there were half truth and half lies, confusing stories that conflicted with each other. The ambassadors each proclaimed a high and elevated spot of closeness with the King and the inner circle, though they rarely were in the King's court to witness the King's Words or Ways.

There was posted in different places along the major highways notices of invitation to come and visit the King, but few did. Those few common folk who came to the King's Court and learned from Him were called liars when they came back to their villages to tell of their experience in the King's Court. When they told of the King's Ways, the people could not believe that it would be so different from the life that they were already living in His name just as perscribed by the ambassador of their choosing.

The few who knew the King announced that the King would be coming to reclaim His Kingdom from those who thought they could take it away from Him and He wanted His people to get ready from His arrival. But alas even that message has been abused..... and so this thread shows how much has been distorted and how few have gone to the King's Court themselves to learn the truth from the King Himself and how often one must return to the King's Court to learn it all.

Inri2 might want to take notice that this "Allah" calls for the death of Christians & Jews (which are "infidels").

How can this be the same God of the Bible who initiates CHRISTIANITY, yet tells Muslims to kill us all where they find us & not to make friends with us or His own chosen people (Jews)???
*not to mention God says He will curse all who curse Israel.

Speaking of "Courts", there was an interesting response by a Muslim to a Baha'i concerning a "court of Justice". This is pretty scary if this is what the ALLAH of the Koran is teaching. [But then the Talmud of "Judaism" isn't really that far off as being "Unbiblical" either]

Hi. What translation is that from? According to Young's LT, the word is "Age". Might be significant, might not be. Thoughts?

But I think people are saying that the word/name "Allah" literally means "God"?
Our "God" has a name, YHWY and Yeshuah (or Jesus). They are 1 God, separately named (even tho they share names too).

I think it might depend on the language you understand - but I know in America Allah is understood as the Islamic god. We use the word "God" to mean GOD (the deity).

Well, Biblically, I can view it as the Law of Moses and it helped when I was debating both Muslims and Jews on the Bible and wondered why both of them viewed the Bible so differently.

The "Jews" of course just read the OT/OC and Talmud, while the Muslims read the Koran, which I view as just a commentary on our own Bible LOL.

To me, it doesnt matter WHAT allah or any other false god's name means, even if it IS translated same as "god"...however, the "god" they serve is NOT the True Living Yeshua I serve.

Therefor I see no common link between the two, except name, because they are as opposite in nature as day and night.

Hi PB. They indeed worship the True God of Abraham, Isaac/Ishmael and Jacob/Israel.

The main difference between what Muhammad told them and what we believe in our NT/NC concerning the CHRIST brought to the "Jews and Israel" is the Crucifixion.

This is the problem I have when debating the Jews of today, as they also do not see a "crucifixion" in the OT/OC.

Other than that, they are pretty close to our view on the Bible other than JESUS being the TRUE LORD/SAVIOR/CHRIST of YHWH.

Actually there are many other differences, but yes that is true that they consider Jesus to be nothing more than a minor prophet. And that's a pretty big thing to disagree on, don't you think????

Not sure why you're sharing these links, and that second one doesn't seem to work.

I will also add that Muslims that follow the earliest Koran (there are different ones) consider Jews and Christians to be "people of the book". Jews are considered to be the furthest down the chain, but still having some potential. Eventually they graduate to Christianity, and then after that, to the highest, purest truth, which is Islam.

I can agree with that, but perhaps a lot of CHRIST-ianity is also guilty of a little "misinterpretation" of Scripture. That or mayb bad "translations".
And don't forget, neither the Jews or Muslims read Revelation in our Bible.
