The following paper suggests that maybe membership in the "All Scientists are Stupid Liars" club might be due to a rather common phenomenon.

Wouldn't it be funny if the people who researched and wrote that piece actually suffered from the very thing they were writing about and due to their incompetence the whole paper was a piece of trash? Which would mean that they're actually not suffering from anything. Which means they're normal and the paper is actually credible.

  Hence, peer-review. It works under the assumption that at least a few people in a field aren't stupid.

   Which is a more generous system than the ICR works under, apparantly.

It amazes me that Christian conservatives want peer review in seminary theological training but abhor it sometimes in scientific pursuits.
