  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do you still have Christmas decorations up? When do you take them down?

I did have - but I took them all down yesterday. We buy a real tree so I usually leave everything up until after the first of the year. I go all out when decorating for Christmas - so when I take them down, my house feels really empty! :)

Yes - I do - I love animals!! I have one cat, Bandit and two kittens. We used to have Smokey and the Bandit :) But Smokey ran away last year. We have some goldfish too and one dog - a yellow lab, Kila. She is the best dog! She used to belong to my sister in law, but when she moved to Denver to an apartment, she had to give her up and gave her to us. We have had her for about 3 years. She is trained so well - I just love the loyalty that dogs have for their owners - she is so sweet!!

How long have you and your hubby been married?

We have been married for 2 1/2 years - we got married in June of 04. It still doesn't seem as if it has been that long! But... we dated for about 5 years before we got married - I guess we were highschool sweethearts. We started dating on the fourth of July and got married almost five years later June 26. I met him because my best friend was dating his best friend - they broke up but remained friends and when we went to his house one night, my future hubby was there. Then I saw him again at the Lake when we were camping and that's when we started dating.

Where's your favorite place on this forum?

I'm not sure - I keep finding new things and places each time I come here. I guess I like the recreation room but I'm not sure what my favorite is.

Would you say your table manners are Good, Ok, or Poor?
What part of your body is least pleasing to you?

Have you ever over drafted your checking account?

Is eating catfish a sin?

Have you ever participated in a moral or political protest, (if so tell us about it)?

Had you been born the opposite sex, what would you like your name to have been?

Your adult child has been convicted of a felony and confides to you he/she is completely guilty of this and more. Your child expresses no regret or intention of repentance, do you stand in line at the local jail on visiting day, if so do you bring them items they ask for like candy, cigarettes?

Which emotion do you experience most often
Anger or Sadness

Which way should the toilet paper hang? (End over or under/behind roll)

Do you think acts of nature (like Katrina, Tsunami) are “Gods Will” as intent to punish/redeem people or cities?

What type thing will be commonplace in 10-20 years that is now rare or that is still just in the idea phase? (The way cell phones, faxes, cars and airplanes have been in the past)

Can you see yourself as a finalist on a TV show like Survivor?

You have been given the chance to cure 1,000 people of a particular disease – Which disease will it be?

Ready for the weekend?

Sorry - I just saw your post. But I can say that I was really ready for the weekend. I actually started mine early as I was sick on Friday. I was sick all weekend, so I didn't really get to enjoy it - now I'm looking forward to next weekend!

:D

I would say ok
What part of your body is least pleasing to you?
my teeth - i have a lisp - i should have had braces a long time ago
Have you ever over drafted your checking account?
ummm... yeah, quite a bit actually - but I always get caught up within a week! ;)
Is eating catfish a sin?
no
Have you ever participated in a moral or political protest, (if so tell us about it)?
I once tried to protest about my sister's coach making mandatory sports practice on a Sunday - but I was afraid it would affect the way she was treated, so no - not really
Had you been born the opposite sex, what would you like your name to have been
Ryan or Connor

Yes, I think I would because no matter what they did, they would still be my child, and I would still love them and couldn't give up on them. However, I don't think I would bring them anything - as I believe they would need to be punished - and jail is too easy on people. If it were a little harsher punishment - maybe people would rethink things just a little. And I think my mom would call that tough love - if it were me.

sadness
Which way should the toilet paper hang? (End over or under/behind roll)
end over

Ummm... I'm not sure - I don't think God wants to see his people in pain - but he also doesn't want us to forget that he is here. I think that may be his way of reminding us that we need him. I do believe that God does everything for a purpose. A lot of times we just don't understand what it is.

What type thing will be commonplace in 10-20 years that is now rare or that is still just in the idea phase? (The way cell phones, faxes, cars and airplanes have been in the past)
tough one - I'm not really sure - that's too much thinking for a Monday :D
Can you see yourself as a finalist on a TV show like Survivor?
no - i would love to try to win all that money - but I have a hard time being away from my family for more than a week and wouldn't be able to handle it
You have been given the chance to cure 1,000 people of a particular disease – Which disease will it be?
childhood cancer - I hate to see children suffer and if I could help just one, let alone 1000, it would be the best thing I had ever done

:D

What is a good person?
What is a bad person?

When, if ever, is it right to break a promise

Good people are caring, kind and generous. They think of others before themselves. When you say good people - I think of my parents right away. They always think of others first.

Can I steal a quote from a movie? There are no bad people, just people that do bad things - I know, that's cheesy - but I'm not perfect, and I don't feel right calling someone a bad person. I guess if I had to answer that, I would say a bad person would be someone that does wrong - and has no remorse for what they did.

I don't think it is right to break a promise - unless you are trying to do good or help someone. For example, my sister once took prescription pills (to get high) - she asked me to promise not to say anything and in the end, I decided to anyway. I felt that her safety was more important than my promise to her. She was really upset with me about it - but I think she eventually forgave me.

What did you get for Christmas last year?

I was really spoiled this last Christmas. My hubby got me a dvd/vcr combo and the most comfortable bed set ever! It was that micro suede stuff. I also got a lot of gift certificates, clothes, movies and a cappucino machine - it has been fun experimenting with it.

What did your husband get for Christmas? :p

He is all about hunting 24/7 - so... I got him a game caller and some clothes. Evidently that's what everyone thought he needed this year - as he mostly got clothes. His parents also bought him a hunting license for this year and gift certificates.
