If you have no temptation or struggle with the flesh, you might not have the Holy Spirit. I had zero struggle with the flesh as an unbeliever.

That is your Calvinistic TOTAL DEPRAVITY speaking, not the word of God. Adam ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of GOOD and Evil, not just evil. All men have a conscience and a measure of faith given to us by God.

This is not in scripture.

Chrsitians once saved do not advocate to just keep on sinning though!

Born again Christian’s who are empowered by the Holy Spirit, must choose to walk according to the Spirit, rather than walking according to the flesh.

No, but if you are born again, you won't want to sin and you will hate evil.

Maybe not to your range of study, but I've read Romans 12, Romans 2 and Genesis 3, to name a few that covers what I said.

When the desire to sin is dead, it is easy to choose righteousness. It is your Spirit-filled nature to do so.

Yes, but God provided the reasons they based their choices on, including Judas, and it could not be otherwise.
God had ordained the end result, but used the willing choices of those others to get it accomplished...

Please, you people quit adding to what Jesus said. He was proving the young ruler could enter life by keeping the commandments. What in the world are you reading?
NONE of us can ever keep the law well enough to merit being saved by that!

I know. But you really should study for yourself.

Israel was said to be God's elect, but were all Israel saved? No.

Isaiah 45:4
For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.

The blood of Jesus was shed for the whole world. Are you going to believe your Bible and the apostles, or John Calvin who was not an apostle?

John 3:16 For God so loved THE WORLD, that He gave His only Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for THE WHOLE WORLD.
God did not intend that the death of Jesus would save all sinners, or else all would be!

On our own? That's the problem right there. A Christian doesn't do anything on his own, but through the Spirit. There is no struggle. IF one has the Spirit, they know the difference, and would never say what you just did. Christ receives all the glory. But I will not be ashamed of the power of the gospel.
We are saved by Grace of Cjrist alone, but once saved, we are still to walk in a more maturing way daily, and that does involve putting aside the lust of our flesh, and to make no provision for it any longer, but is constantly upward call in our lives in Christ...

Yes, but they freely chose to synchronize themselves with his plan, unknowingly, for the reasons he used to control their decisions.

Paul would tell us though in Chapter 7 of Romans that while our new nature wants to please and serve God now, we are still weak in our flesh, and can ONLY live as we ought by yielding and relying upon the Holy Spirit!

Yes, as that would mean that one must strive to keep on being infilled by the Spirit, not just indwelt by Him!

It is not God's will that any should perish. 2 Peter 3:9. Thus, man is sovereign over his own salvation, because man was made in the image of God. God did everything that is needed for everyone to be saved = EVERYONE - THE WHOLE WORLD. But we must choose to accept what He did for us and choose whom we will serve.

Don't you know by now after reading posts that Romans 7 is about those UNDER the law BEFORE Christ? Read Romans 7 in context, starting with verse 7 at the latest and on through Romans 8:9. It is a contrast between the Law vs. Spirit. Ignorant people set on justifying their Spiritless struggle with sin choose to take Romans 7 out of context and just focus on verses 14-23.

One must choose to put to death the deeds of the body, by the Spirit.

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:13
