In the same place it says Gods' 4th commandment Sabbath from Exodus 20:8-11 has now been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest - No where.Where does it say I have to hate Sunday worship?
Here are the commandments that John listed. If you have faith in Jesus you do what He asks. If you love Jesus you will keep His commandments John 14:15
John also goes on the say those that “do” His commandments enter into life. Not my words....
Revelation 22:14 4 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
No one rests on Sunday. In the same place it says Gods' 4th commandment Sabbath from Exodus 20:8-11 has now been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest - No where.
No one rests on Sunday. We gather on Sunday to break bread and celebrate the risen Christ.
You can gather and worship Jesus on Friday and Monday also. Increasing fellowship is a top priority. Show me in the New Testament, where it is a sin to gather and worship, on any other day than say the Sabbath.True, God's rest day is the "seventh day" of the week or the Sabbath day given to mankind from Jesus in Mark 2:17 from Genesis 2:1-3. This also being God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments *Exodus 20:8-11 which is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken according to Romans 7:7, James 2:10-11 and 1 John 3:4. Sunday worship on the other hand is a teaching and tradition of men that is not biblical. Jesus warns us about following man-made teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God in Matthew 15:3-9. The question we all need to answer for ourselves therefore is who should I believe and follow; God or man *Romans 3:4; Acts of the Apostles 5:29.
No it actually says "And in this again" in the Greek in verse 5. The word place is not in the original. Here look. This place again......If they shall enter into my rest
He is quoting from Psalm 95 again, hence, this place in the Scripture again. Hence, taking us back to verse 3, not 4.
Hi klutedavid, the Sabbath is for Rest as you say. It is also a day for communion with God and Family in and through His holiness. You can gather and worship Jesus on Friday and Monday also. Increasing fellowship is a top priority. Show me in the New Testament, where it is a sin to gather and worship, on any other day than say the Sabbath.
Thou shall not gather and worship Jesus on Monday.
Thou shall not gather and break bread on Tuesday.

I am not talking about worshiping Jesus on any day of the week. Rather when the church gathers to break bread and worship Jesus. No one said it was a sin to worship God every day. This is what the disciples did in Acts of the Apostles 2:46-47 and so we should. Gods' Word however (not me) says it is a sin to break anyone of God's 10 commandments in James 2:10-11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4 and Gods' 4th commandment is one of them according to the scriptures (Exodus 20:8-11).
No context to what I said was Sunday worship in place of Gods' 4th commandment. Sin is the difference in the context of our discussion here. Not if we worship God every day of the week. Sunday worship however is a man-made teaching and tradition that has led many to disregard and forget Gods 4th commandment of the 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken according to the scriptures in James 2:10-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20 when God tells us to "Remember" the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Most of the world has forgotten Gods Word in order to follow man-made teachings and traditions of men that break the commandment of God. Jesus warns us about doing this in Matthew 15:3-9. So who should we be following; God or man? *Romans 3:4; Acts of the Apostles 5:29I am not talking about worshiping Jesus on any day of the week. You said, "Sunday worship on the other hand is a teaching and tradition of men that is not biblical"
As I said in the previous post, you can gather and worship Jesus on any day of the week. I cannot see any difference between having a Sunday service or a Thursday service. We are not talking about a day of rest for twenty four hours. We are talking about something entirely different here. We celebrate the risen Christ and that has nothing to do with some Jewish Sabbath obligation.
According to Jesus Sabbath was made for man Mark 2:27. Which does not say Sabbath was made for Jews only, man = all. The Sabbath according to God is THE holy day, not a holy day. Exodus 20:8-11.I am not talking about worshiping Jesus on any day of the week. Rather when the church gathers to break bread and worship Jesus.

Regardless of the interpretation of the scripture that any church organization may proclaim. The apostles decided that the Gentiles were never required to obey the law of Moses. That interpretation is not biblical David but allow me explain why from the scriptures.Regardless of the interpretation of the scripture that any church organization may proclaim. Acts 15:19-20
Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood.
Anyone who disregards this instruction from the apostles to the Gentiles, is at enmity with God Himself.
Regardless of the interpretation of the scripture that any church organization may proclaim. The apostles decided that the Gentiles were never required to obey the law of Moses.
1. No such text in all of scripture.
2. Acts 15 is very explicit on the point that the key to not making up a man-made rule telling gentiles “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” they could rely on scripture alone since "Moses has those who preach him in every city, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
Jesus' teaching was "if they will not listen to Moses - neither will they listen though one rises from the dead" Luke 16.
1 Cor 7:19 "what matters is keeping the Commandments of God" NASB
Read this part of what the Gentiles that believe in Jesus are commanded to follow in Rom 13 - just as stated by Christ before the cross in Matt 19.
And notice that it is still a sin - even for gentiles "to take God's name in vain"
Are you saying that you can eat meat from a strangled animal?1. No such text in all of scripture.

Your interpretation only examines half of the text and is not Biblical. That interpretation is not biblical David but allow me explain why from the scriptures.
You have Paul contracting himself when sometime latter he goes to the Corinthians believers and says "Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing but the keeping of the commandments of God" - 1 Corinthians 7:19.
The question being answered in Acts of the Apostles 15:1-2 is in regards to "is circumcision from the law of Moses a requirement for salvation?" The question being discussed in Jerusalem was never "are God's 10 commandments are requirement for Christian living?" like some try and teach.
I am sure you do not think that it is ok for Gentile believers to go out and lie, steal, commit adultery and murder now do you which are also not written in Acts of the Apostles 15? Your interpretation of Acts of the Apostles 15 has Paul contradicting himself in 1 Corinthians 7:19 so you may want to go back and rethink, your view on Acts of the Apostles 15.
Hope this helps.
HAPPY SABBATH ALL![]()
Acts 15 is the instruction of the apostles to all Gentile churches. Why would I say that? even Acts 15 says gentiles cannot do that.
Are you saying that you can eat meat from a strangled animal?
Acts 15 is the instruction of the apostles to all Gentile churches.
You keep saying the ten commandments but the apostles only gave us four rules.
