Man is the problem and we tend to blur the lines between right and wrong, good and bad, just and unjust and means and end! Context to your reference in the flood.....God said they sinned "ALL" the time, contentiously and constantly. There wasn't anything good about them through and through. Except you read into it what you want to see. The hardest thing for man to get his mind around is God being Merciful, Graceful and justice all in one! But for now the rain falls on the good and evil "GRACE" ,however; in the second coming there will be justice and every knee will bow and every tongue will confess He is Lord! Meaning you have the choice right now to even sin against your own body, even to sin against the innocent which of no fault of their own are put to death....murdered!Ofcourse I will use god. He is God, but I'm sorry, I think you approach God's word with "intent prior to content"! Looking into Morality or the Moral conduct. How can you read into His word if you don't know the author or the narrative/Title of the book? Intent is prior to content......Oh and from earlier about different denominations in such, unity doesn't have to mean uniformity! God is the moral giver in that is who you are trying to to disprove in your differentiating between right and wrong and the cross of Jesus Christ is efficacious!
