Michael, I don't think that other interpretations are garbage, but I eagerly await Jesus' second coming when one of them will be shown to be true. However, I do subscribe to one of them plus panmillenialism; it'll all pan out!

I tend to think of all of them in parallel and pick one to discuss due to the limitations of the english language.

If Acts 1:7 means we shouldn't worry about the end times, then Paul should have corrected the Thessalonians. Concerning the times and seasons, Paul had this to say 1st Thessalonians 5
1Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers,a you have no need to have anything written to you. 2For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.3While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief

Yeah, you know what the signs are, so when they happen - the Holy Spirit will bring back to remembrance what God has said - so that's how we will know, at that time.

I don't know if they are rubish, but I wonder if the obsession with eschatology misses the point. Why did God send the prophets? So that the future could be known? No. The primary point was to call the people back to their first love, i.e. God, and to live accordingly. They came with words of judgement (about the future) and hope (about the future) not so that people would try to divine the times, but so that they would live as God's people now.

I think the question people should ask themselves is, "Does my focus on eschatology contribute or detract, right now, from who I am being called to be as a member of His body?"

This is a very good point, God even complained about how the prophets failed to get his people to repent. So I'd say in light of your post, perhaps the application is to have an eschatology view that is sanctification friendly - and not so much fortune telling.

I got caught up in eschatology quite a bit in 1995. I kept seeing holes in each position. It was as if God was telling me I was wasting my time. I believe eschatology has it's place in the kitchen, but our DOology is more what Jesus is looking for.

Which one are we going to hear the words "Well DONE good and faithful SERVant". !?

Do-ology is very important, James even spoke of the engrafted word that is able to save our souls - the words are useless if we don't apply them to benefit others out of love.

Yeah, you know what the signs are, so when they happen - the Holy Spirit will bring back to remembrance what God has said - so that's how we will know, at that time.

I remember reading about the US embassy being moved to Jerusalem in the bible almost 20 years ago. It was during our second war with Iraq which is also in the Bible.
Not many people talk about those signs. In fact many people have been misled into believing those end time prophecies took place thousands of years ago.
Most people don't see the signs of our times.

I tend to look at the signs as a recurring ripple effect, hard to say when the stone hit the pond - in the past or the future.

I find signs tend to recur, but are not the end. The end happens under very specific circumstances. In the various parallels of theology that I'm considering concurrently - imply that this combination of signs "that's not it" but it does contain a ripple sign of when the time comes for that sign to "be the thing written"

another example, just because church history mirrors the history of israel and judah in the bible - doesn't mean that we're nearing the coming of the antithesis of Christ through the beast church.

According to the signs spoken of in the Gospels, the first iron beast was actually Rome, (since Jesus was the stone that ground the iron (foot and clay) toes to powder, yet he was speaking of the pharisees who said "our only king is caesar." but now there are many beasts who devour the earth and trample the residue under their feet.

The prophecy of the mountain (kingdom) that fills the whole earth and the parable of the yeast that leavens the whole batch of dough are one. This kingdom is within us, because it is the kingdom of God - but according to the guidelines described in the new testament teachings, the bride isn't even close to ready - since this department is handled by the Holy Spirit, it is safe to say - it's not the time yet - or the church man proclaims is not the church Jesus continues to build.

So say it is the latter, those who make these claims are showing a distinct lack of maturity in terms of the new testament/covenant guidelines as well - so the time is not yet full.

However, Jesus did say - when the son of man returns, will there be any faith on earth? So perhaps as we draw closer, there will be less and less faith, but now there is still enough for the Holy Spirit to operate and hold back the one who needs to be held back - so even from this parallel, the time is not yet.

Well, I've been watching a chapter for a couple of decades. It has signs from one administration to the next. It took a while but I've finally arrived at the last one.

By the way this is the verse I understood in 2003 about the embassy being moved to jerusalem
Daniel 11:45 KJV: And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Well, I've been watching a chapter for a couple of decades. It has signs from one administration to the next. It took a while but I've finally arrived at the last one.

So in parallels, this may result in 1) a renewed understanding of the scripture in relation to rulers of nations 2) something entirely different disrupting your understanding. 3) there is no end when there should be an end, thus a ripple sign.

Oh no, there is definitely an end. It's just the chapter spans from. Reagons administration to Trumps.

It's kind of like how Jesus wept for Jerusalem when they didn't recognize their divine visitation through Him.

Perhaps prophecy would have been fulfilled differently if it had.

The Pharisees taught that it happen in 167 bc when their sect was founded. But I'm pretty sure they were just the blind leaders of the blind.
