Mourning the passing of a fantasy of "White America" - I think that's what the accusation is based on. I see the same thing (that the fantasy is racist), but America has always been multiracial. The Spanish have been here for centuries and the Native Americans before that. Afro-Americans and Caribbeans have also been here quite a long while. The Chinese are more recent, the Koreans more recent still, but here long before 1960.

Why in the world did you pick 1960 as some special year for immigration.

1960s is when we changed our immigration policy to allow people of different cultures to come here in mass quantities. Before, the immigration policy was aimed more toward Western Europeans with cultures similar to our own. And why did you mention the Spanish? The Spanish are Westerns just like other white americans.

I have voted every election in my life Republican. I feel that Mormonism is a cult rather than a part of Christianity. Therefore I cannot vote for Romney.

A cult is a group that calls itself Christian but rejects one of the fundamental teachings of Christianity i.e. the deity of Christ.

That's not necessarily a cult.
It IS heresy, though, and therefore not Christian.
I still say, that I'd rather have an openly non-Christian (even though he might call himself Christian) that I agreed with, than a hypocritical so-called "Christian" who I don't agree with, any day.

I agree with you here. Although I'm not a fan of Romney's policies, I would vote for him in the general election despite his Mormonism over Obama. I think Romney is a good and hardworking guy and has good values. Though, I do support Ron Paul is the primary 100%.
