Why are we in separate subfora now?
I was stuck offline for seven months and just found out this happened.
It makes feel me so sad. I don't want to debate anyone about anything. I just wondered.

Btw, my fervent apologies to those whose thread on which I posted by mistake awhile back.

It's okay. The subfora are for specific conversations. For example, if a YEC wants to share "My personal tips for sharing AiG material" without any TEs butting in and making a fight of it, they can do it on the Creationist forum. I imagine the Creationist forum might also be suitable for intra-Creationist arguments like progressive vs. young-earth.

Basically the main forum is still open. But the subfora are for topics when the poster doesn't think interference from the other side will help.

(I think so. Am I right?)

Thank you both, shernren and Paladin! :)

erm...I may be a theistic evolutionist, but that doesn't mean that I'm not interested in AiG's material; I am. My cousin is a creationist, so we discuss AiG's aricles and tips when he visits; the last time we went over their summary of findings regarding the possible discovery of the remains of the Ark. We don't fight. We have fun. Is there any place for all of us Christians to have polite and friendly conversations together about such things? or not?

Origins Theory "Main" is where all sides meet :)

Yes, I now understand that part. What I'm wondering is, once we're there, are we obliged to fight? :(

Do we even have a fellowship thread to help us be better friends, like the "Cretaceous Cafe", or something?

Paladin, It's exhausting to find myself on a "side" everywhere I post at CF. We all agree that God created the heavens and the earth, so, there shouldn't be any "sides", just different points of view. All this fighting is too much for me sometimes, and I'm not going to post here if that's all that comes of it.
btw, are you sure you don't want my dog?

I think a "Safezone" would be nice here. Perhaps we should petition for a new subforum?

And actually, we just got a dog and we are going to baptize him into the Anglican Church come next Festival of St. Francis of Assisi. :)

Well, yeah! Good idea! A DMZ?

Well, I was only speaking of my virtual dog, but it's totally cool that you can do that!! I used to take mine to Eurka Springs Ark where there's a Benedictine chapel and a St. Francis statue there where all pets are welcome. That was pretty special without a Festival or a baptism. :)

Wow. DMZ huh. Sounds like the Church is at war with itself. That's saddening. I think an easier way is for the original poster in his OP to specify that this is an information thread, or whatever it is, and that he is not asking for dispute on the thread; and also to suggest that discussions can be started in a new thread. That way we can refer noisy people ;) to the OP and ask them to start a new thread.

Hey, Plan9! Good to see you again. :)

You bring up a very good point. The C&E forum, for example, has the 'Crevo Cafe' as a fellowship sticky. One would be nice here also.

Maybe a staff member will see this thread and make some kind of fellowship sticky for this forum. :)

I don't see where there would be a problem. Many of the larger forums have fellowship threads tacked. :)

I'm all for fellowship threads myself. :)
Perhaps if we knew each other better, we wouldn't be as tempted to engage in hurtful and divisive acrimony unbecoming to us as Christian brothers and sisters?
This is why I came to the Creationist subforum as a visitor, rather than bringing this up in the Theistic Evolution subforum. I have creationist friends in real fife, and always have, and there are creationists here honor me with their friendship, and I'd rather not post in Origins Theology at all, if doing so could bring about any division between us whatsoever.
