A Poem for everyone

What It's all about
Goodbye Religion,
You aren't what you used to be
People did take you seriously
but its not the same anymore

Goodbye Religion
I do not need you anymore
You are meaningless
You are hopeless
You are not the way to God

Goodbye Religion
You deceived me for the last time
into thinking i was saved
Good bye Religion
now im on my way to a better thing
an actual relationship
with the one who loves me.

Because it's all about God
not about different churches
it's all about the one who sacrificed his life
It's all about the one who loves me
more than anything, or any foolish religion
It's all about that one night of worship, when nothing comes between God and me

Hello God,
You are worthy to be praised
You are the one who is and was and is to come.
Hello God
You are the best thing in the universe
and everyone has been made to worship you.
I don't understand your ways,
but to me your awesome anyway
and I couldn't love you any more than now

Because It's all about the love you've given to me
not about the different religions seperating all the world
and its all about the life that you lived, and then you died for me
and you defeated death on that third day!
And it's all about the worship you deserve
its not about the benefit but
its about how much you deserve all the praise!

And now I love you, more than I have before
More than anything, nothing could come between
You and me....

Because it's all about the love you have given me
not about the conflicts in this world
and its all about the fact you are forever
the fact that you have forgiven me
and most of all its all about You

goodbye to the foolish things of this world

and not taking their life seriously

Here is my favorite part of your poem. How true!
While religion alone by itself can't save us you will find His people in liturgical settings and ritualistic worship. If they have welcome His presence in their hearts there is deep meaning. His friends are everywhere!

thanks... jonah 33 wrote a song entitled goodbye religion..... part of that inspired me to write the poem... but i've always said it isn't religion.. its a relationship... then i went to a jonah 33 concert and they inspired me to write the poem..
