You think the Reformation is not of God? There is no point in discussing with you any further, unless you are just uneducated and are an eager and patient learner. You have a very biased attitude that goes against the foundation of this site and the majority of it's beliefs.
Think of what has come since the Reformation: Atheism.

Not to mention lots and lots of division.

Please, show me where I said I hated Protestants because I did not.

Your angry and agitated spirit is not a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. Your human emotions are going to be an influence with anything you say on here. Do you really trust yourself that much?
You know nothing of my spirit. Yes the Holy Spirit dwells inside of me.
For you to say otherwise, well you'll just have to answer to God. :)

Not even close.
Only in your opinion. God reaches out to the non-christian, he does not insist on them having Christian values before doing so.

My dear Christian neighbors,

I resolve not to cast personal insults against you in any forum on this site. Will you resolve likewise towards me?
Of course, but considerate, fair-minded moderates are not the problem, Christian or otherwise.

"I do not believe Erwin's vision for CF is to make it seeker-friendly... however, I do believe his vision is to make it finder friendly. Jesus' whole goal was to seek and save that which was lost.... why would we not invite the harvest here?"

Because what you see as a potential harvest, the non-believing crowd, a good portion of them, not all of them, I believe are going to eat Christians like ravenous wolves and spit them out. Some atheists and agnostics live for this, not all but some.

"What a tremendous opportunity lays before us!!"

Good luck with it and bring your "A" game, cuz these people are gonna bring theirs. As hard as you try to convert them to Christianity, they are going to try equally hard to deconvert Christians and show them why Christianity is just plain foolish and stupid. Have you read any of the popular atheist authors of today? Dawkins? Harris? Hitchens? They've read our book, the Bible. Have you read any of theirs? Just out of curiosity. If this turns into what I think it's gonna turn into, you'd best be prepared.

"This isn't a church. It isn't an organized "religion"... it is an opportunity to talk and debate and have iron sharpen iron... and praise God for the thought that we could help someone find a true relationship with Christ!!!"

I do love your optimism. It brings back memories.
I couldn't agree more. You are going to find the biggest game players you ever saw comung to this site, and I, for one, will not get caught up in that game again.
Christian's by nature are not meant to win in a free for all.

Isn't that called compromise?
"Isn't that called compromise?"

I thought compromise is when two sides both give up a little, and come to an agreement. What are the non-Christians giving up? What exactly is it they're sacrificing under the new system?

The whole point is unity. Christians need to get out of their own little boxes of people who believe the same things as they do. The fact is, NONE of us understand any belief or theology view perfectly.

We should be right with those who do evil, because we do too. None of us are any better than a heroin or cocaine addict living on the street. Billy Graham, Mother Theresa, the disciples...none of them were "good". The mother of Jesus Christ was not "good".
amen!

I don't think others will see the same way. When people are angry at God, they remain in that anger, usually, their whole lives.

It is different to be called _____ by an Atheist than from a Christian. What hurts more is when the Atheist does so because usually it is because of being Christian.

We get attacked because we're atheists, too.

It's just not good all around.

Not mine, but that of all of us who do and will confess our faith by way of the Creeds. That bit has been trashed here, or did you miss it?

They certainly are not, but they still are not allowed to vote in our churches.
Actually my church does not attempt to decide the state of a person's heart before letting them vote. We haven't yet turned into a haven for satanists!

:( How sad, the ugliness that has come out in this thread between supposed 'brothers and sisters'.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us, sinners.

As someone who currently runs a site setup this way I posit that you are dead wrong. Sure there are nasty bits but the good outweighs the bad any day. And this site wil have rules. That much is clear. It will not be anarchy.
Time will tell. And I was speaking from my experiences at about.com. Your site may indeed be different. I am not wrong because I know what I experienced, I was there, you weren't. Have a nice day.

Yes, actually we are... it just doesn't always look or feel comfortable to us during the battle.

It's just not good all around.
And unfortunately the animosity will never change.

Atheists will hate religious folks just cause.
Religious folks will hate Atheists just cause.

We're all human.

But you know what I was meaning in the post, right?
