Wow!

I think these are wonderful goals, and I will continue to pray that CF will be able to implement them in a way that will bless both Christians and non-Christians alike.

May I ask if the role of Ombudsman and Conciliators is going to continue, be dropped, or change? If things work out as I always hoped, they'd have nothing to do ;)

I'm not about to just make all the staff forums OPEN as of now because of all sorts of confidential information in it. I will close the current ones. New ones that are public will be made. Members can post in them.

Report forums will be public. Members can post in them and comment - why not.

The Wiki will be totally OPEN to all members to edit.

The idea is for more openness, not less.

Radical it may be, but it will work.
Ok, this answers my only question...happy I don't have to go do a ton of editing :)

God Bless you for this Erwin, it's a breath of fresh air and I truly think it's going to work well :)

Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway...Proverbs 8:34 NIV

Erwin special blessings are yours when God has your attention and you give God time.
He wants you to move on His shedule and at His pace..
He wants you to be at rest and at peace...
He wants your waiting times to be growing times.
He wants you to be still and know that He is in control
He is never late.
Wait quietly.
Wait patiently.
Wait attentively...
He makes all things beautiful in His time...
Thanks so much Erwin.....and may God continue to bless you and give you wisdom.

Please READ BEFORE POSTING!!!

This forum is for the discussion of doctrines held by people who are members of churches and denominations that do not fall within conventional mainstream evangelical Christianity - basically people who hold beliefs that do not fall within the definition of Christianity as laid out in our Forum Rules, which is based on the Nicene Creed. These people will not be allowed to post in our Christian-only forums.

Examples of these people who fall within this category are "Christians" who are also Preterist, "Christians" who reject the Trinitarian nature of God, or "Christians" who are Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses, and other denominations considered cults or sects by mainstream Christianity.

However, these members who consider themselves "Christians", (although not according to our Rules) may still post in this forum. (NOTE: atheists and non-Christians are NOT allowed to post in here).

This forum was created to foster communication and debate between Mainstream Christians (defined as Protestants and Catholics, Orthodox and Messianics) and those who consider themselves Christians who do not belong within mainstream Christianity. It is hoped that we can learn more about God, the Bible and each other.

:)

Now gone. The Nicene creed no longer matters.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. - John 4:23

Erwin - a couple of things: do you want questions about the changes here or in separate threads? And have the database errors been fixed?
I won't be able to answer all questions.

Database issues will be addressed under stage 2 - technology - trust me, that stage is going to be very very very radical - wait for it.

My one small question is should we go through and remove our personal life info from the Staff Forums that we don't want visable to guests or all members?

What about just putting all the remaining staff threads in the Trash Bin after sorting through to save just the important ones.

Also, could porn be hard deleted? Is there that option? Could Admins be empowered to hard delete useless posts or dangerous porn? Wouldn't that help cut down on the file size of CF?

I know some former staff who quit due to the soft delete of porn.

I can't answer for Erwin, but I can speak as a former conciliator. As long as humans inhabit these fora, there will be a need for conciliators. Not only do they help with staff-member interactions, but they help with member-member interactions, too. Misunderstandings are bound to happen, and a conciliator can be helpful sometimes.

ETA: lol! I just realized who posted this. Hi, Joykins, former Ombudsman extraordinaire.
