Legend
Being a member and being yoked to someone who makes policy on a ministry isnt the same thing. For the last 3 years Erwin made it clear that non believers were guests here but that the site was primarily for the believers and that it would be governed by believers - see his words here :CaDan said:But, if that is your guiding principle, what have you been doing here at CF for the last three years? This site has always allowed non-Christians to be members. Now, when it looks like your ability to beat up on them may be impaired in just the tiniest way, you start complaining.
Ask yourself--is it whether or not you will be unequally yoked that upsets you or that your whip hand may be stayed for a moment that upsets you?
http://www.christianforums.com/t2851743-excuse-me-erwin.html&page=Its certainly not my fault or anyone elses who has spent time here investing in this ministry that Erwin has in the last couple days decided he didnt mean that. I believed Him as did many others. We also believed this was a ministry as its intent Your last statement is uncalled for - cruel and hateful. God bless you Mr Dan. Im sorry you feel that way about me. But im not sorry for standing up for biblical principles and if you dont like that , thats just too dang bad isnt it.Erwin said:Reasons:
1. To me CF is more than just a website, it is also a ministry, and this vision is something that only Christians understand and appreciate.
2. All our rules and policies, though it may appear generic, have foundations in Christian doctrine and the Bible.
3. This site is Christian forums and although non-Christians are welcome, the target audience is still Christians.
4. A large majority of Christian members will not submit to being moderated by non-Christians.
All of the above points can be challenged and counter-arguments brought forth, but this policy will not change while I remain webmaster.
