I have taken one similar to this and the way a question is worded or how much weight they put on each response per person is always questionable. However, it's still fun. My favorite part of this is I have nothing in common with Charles Finney :)

The daddy of the Reformation. You are opposed to any Catholic ideas of works-salvation and see the scriptures as being primarily authoritative.

I'm not a Calvinist because I dont agree with labelling myself with the name of a man - I am a Jesusist (a Christian)
I don't think any Calvinist thinks they are following Calvin over Christ. What Christ taught is what we believe, but for our purposes on forums, discussions, etc., it easier for people to recognize our theology based off the terms "Reformed" or "Calvinist". ;)

Do you call yourself an human, female, Scot, Briton, Presbyterian, etc.? You could make the argument that any label that is not "Christian" is somehow innately atheistic if we follow this line of reasoning. The label "Calvinist" is not inherently bad. Don't be shy about using it. Everyone understands that Calvinists are Christians. They just don't understand that they are the only consistent Christians.

i heard something funny at Bible study last wed nite: true Calvinists are able to fall down a flight of stairs & say, 'whew, i'm glad that's over with'.

that was a line from Tony Campolo , he also said he was so pre-millenial he didn't even eat post-toasties :D

hey he sure made me laugh on several occassions. :p

You scored as Anselm.

Anselm is the outstanding theologian of the medieval period. He sees man's primary problem as having failed to render unto God what we owe him, so God becomes man in Christ and gives God what he is due. You should read 'Cur Deus Homo?
