You scored as Martin Luther
The daddy of the Reformation. You are opposed to any Catholic ideas of works-salvation and see the scriptures as being primarily authoritative.

You scored as Karl Barth.

The daddy of 20th Century theology. You perceive liberal theology to be a disaster and so you insist that the revelation of Christ, not human experience, should be the starting point for all theology.

Karl Barth 93%
Anselm 87%
Martin Luther 73%
John Calvin 67%
Paul Tillich 67%
Jonathan Edwards 53%
Friedrich Schleiermacher 40%
Charles Finney 33%
Augustine 33%
J?Moltmann 27%

I hope this is a good thing!!!

Actually... it's not!

The thing about Karl Barth is that often he sounds good, and so it's easy to score him highly on a quiz like this. (I had to consciously avoid it.)

He talks about Christ being God's revelation, but he means Christ as opposed to Scripture. The Bible is not the Word of God, it's only a vehicle of the Word.

Augustine is good, leaningonherbeloved. He's one of the few saints that both Protestants and Catholics claim as their own - Catholicism has followed his views on the church, while Calvinism has followed his views on grace and predestination.

I can strongly recommend reading his Confessions.

Oh dear - and I even answered vaguely about the revelation of christ being the starting point of theology - certainly didn't put highly agree....

maybe it was my anti liberal theology stance that won me this one.....

The results for that quiz are all messed up. I scored as 100% Barth, 100% Anselm, and only 67% Calvin and 57% Edwards. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Soli Deo Gloria

There is a mistake in that quiz! And I found it. Just keep on answering the questions until you get the desired results... :p

Here are my results:

You scored as John Calvin.

Much of what is now called Calvinism had more to do with his followers than Calvin himself, and so you may or may not be committed to TULIP, though God's sovereignty is all important.

John Calvin 100%
Jonathan Edwards 100%
Martin Luther 100%
Anselm 67%
Karl Barth 67%
J?Moltmann 33%
Paul Tillich 0%
Charles Finney 0%
Friedrich Schleiermacher 0%
Augustine 0%

but I think there is a mistake in this quiz in one of the questions:

When Jesus said his blood was spilled for 'many', he meant 'all' -
I answered this one just the opposite way round and got my 100% (of course I did this after I only got 67% on Calvin - so my answer is perfectly in line with John Calvin....)

PS: have a look here as well
