Where did you get that claim from? Creationist sources are notorious for making strawman arguments. That is a form of lying. Now you probably do not understand science well enough to spot the lie, but if you link the argument I may be able to point out how they are wrong for you.

He told them the Holy Spirit definitely would come down and make sure that they remembered it all perfectly in due time. By the way, if they got it wrong, why would John, in his very old age not have noticed? He not only gave approval to the recorded Scripture but wrote new stuff long after the gospels were a done deal. Jesus also verified that all the old testament was correct! To not believe either text is to disbelieve Jesus...which is what it is all really about. So cut the smoke and mirrors.

False. They are accounts that agree, by different folks who emphasize different aspects of what went down.

The apostles used the old testament writings, and confirmed them as true blue. They were friends of Jesus who verified that the record of Jesus is true also. Scripture IS His Signature.

It's really about believing things you can substantiate with evidence.
