Hi guys. Some of you know me from my years of posting here. To others of you, the messages I share are brand new. Either way, what God has asked me to share is..... well, different. You will not hear it from your pulpit, not yet at least. It is GREAT news, but it will not, at least at first, be accepted by many, and I suspect few pastors will agree with it. In truth, it will actually be resisted, for it threatens our status quo, Sunday-go-to-meeting Western style Christianity. Why? Because it exposes what we are trying to pass off as the fullness of what God can do for us, as simply not true. Our shallowness, our lack of reality, our lack of burden, our compromise with the world are exposed for all to see. So, if you follow along as I try to share what God began to reveal to me now ten years ago, understand that most of your Christian friends will not be joining you, LOL. Later though? You bet.

Here are some main points that will come out in all my messages.

1) Our current Christianity is not only not cutting it, it is actually detrimental to the seekers of the world listening to what we have to say. We have settled for a gospel that can forgive us by faith (true), but cannot change us, liberate us, free us from the POWER of sin by faith as well. When a man comes to Christ, here are the instructions he basically is given.

a. Read your Bible
b. Go to church
c. Pray
d. God will do the rest.
e. And when you are still not changing, and still sinning, you are universally forgiven
anyway so don't sweat it.

We are promised by God that He will transform us, fill us with spiritual fruit, set us FREE INDEED. And yet it is not happening, is it? Our theory of progressive sanctification is a lie. After decades of walking as Christians, men still struggle with the power sin has on them. I sure did, and more than most! Holiness is looked at as a "goal" we shoot for, but in truth can never attain. Thus we settle in for the long haul. No one is instructed as to HOW to get free. We simply do not believe it possible in this life. And we are wrong.

As a result of this "half gospel", the world sees us as hypocrites, essentially pretty much just like other "good" people in the world, but we get to go to heaven, and them? Uh-oh, bad news. Guys, it is called hypocrisy. Laodecian lukewarmness. Content without truly abiding in Him, and worse with no real burning desire to get free of sins in our lives. Our faith stops at forgiveness and as a result, our continuing to sin is hardening our hearts, and that is a dangerous thing.

2) Ten years ago, God appeared to me and shared with me what was holding me up. It works. It is not hard, and in truth it is actually amazingly easy. No spiritual strength is needed. Actually, those who are weak and defeated have a great advantage over those who the Bible says "can make a fair show of it in the flesh". Why? We KNOW we need a miracle to be truly Christians inside and out. It is to them who have NO strength who will become overcomers. So if you are reading these words and somewhere deep inside, it is resonating with your spirit, you are blessed.

3) The core of what I share is that when we are born again, it is not just spiritual jargon. We really do become new. The old us, called the old man, dies, because Jesus took us with Him in His death. And when Jesus rose from the dead, praise God, He brought us up with Him, as brand new people. Our sin nature was replaced by God in us. That is the new man. The power of sin, of willful disobedience, was broken. So now the logical question. Why aren't I different? Why do I still fall, when God said He will keep me from falling?

It's is simple. We have not mixed truth with our faith. We have not been taught what Paul clearly shares in Romans 6. We must take that truth and apply it to us as DONE. If we believe we are still just sinners, saved by grace, guess what? We will still sin. Ah, but if we reckon, add to our spiritual assets, that we are no longer sinners but children of God, and believe the promises of God, guess what? We walk there. God tells us to yield ourselves to Him, but how? As miserable failing children? NO! We are told to yield ourselves to Gim as those who has risen from the dead! Our faith is not the power, but it truly plugs into God's promises and we suddenly find we can... no, no... we DO say no to the devil when temptations come. How? Because God causes us to do so.

Is this not what God has promised? Has He not told us that our shields of faith will quench EVERY arrow Satan casts at us? Has He not said the sin shall no longer have dominion over us? Has He not assured us that we have been delivered from the POWER of darkness. Yes! And He cannot lie! BUT..... these promises only work when we stop trying to wrestle our old nature into submission, and KILL it by faith. We put off the old nature, put on the new, and then the processs of being changed into His likeness truly kicks into gear. Guys, from one who was miserably bound by the devil ten years ago, I can attest with all honesty. It works. Why? Because allGod's promises to us are yea and amen. God cannot lie.

This is getting long, so I will continue in a second post but listen with your heart to these two scriptures.

Peter said:

"Where are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these (the promises), we might be changed into His image."

And John in Revelations tells us of the saints in the latter days.... our days:

"......and they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the lamb AND the word of THEIR testimony."

Is the light beginning to come on? The church is about to be awakened as to who we really are. You..... we all..... are about to be blessed beyond our imaginations to even conceive. Real revival, book of Acts type Christianity, is about to make its return on planet earth, and we are to be integral parts. And the world, scorning us for our shallow religious hypocrisy, will soon say "Look! That which bore only briars and thorns has become again like the garden of Eden!"

Stay tuned for more. Oh, and buckle your spiritual seatbelts. It is about to get mind- blowingly exciting.

Blessings,

Gideon

Interesting. Much of what you've adopted is actually the basic theology of the ancient churches-and still continues to be, regardless of whether or not anyone actually lives accordingly, while much of what you reject here is Reformed theology.

There is a huge difference between having a base theology and living and moving and having ones being in it.

Knowing things to be true and not actually walking in them so that others will want what we possess.... no, who possesses us, is the difference between being religious and being righteous.

We must remember that to whom much is given, much is required. Possessing light and walking in it are not the same. We are, by God's amazing grace, being awakened to walk in the light as He is in the light.

Blessings,

Gids

Well, I certainly have no right or reason to disagree with any of that. But we do want to start with the light in any case, with right theology, which is presumably why you included yours.

I can hear your excitement. I pray you're right.
You asked me a question earlier if I was speaking to myself or was it God speaking to me. The answer is both. LOL.

Ten years ago, at a point in my life where I was bound by sins big and small, longing to walk pleasing to Him but finding myself the wretched man of Romans 7, God miraculously appeared to me and shared with me what I had missed in my walk. "Life changing" would fail to convey to you what that divine visitation has done for me, and to me.

I had known the two critical truths Paul shared in Romans 6, that when Christ died, so did I (my old man) and that when Christ rose from the dead, He gave me new life as well (my new nature). In fact, I had them memorized, but I had never actually appropriated the truths as DONE in me. That is what reckoning is. It is believing that you receive it, right now, that it is added to your assets regardless as to whether you see evidence of it or not. And the result of this leap of faith, spurred on by hunger and in my case, desperation? You shall have it. And praise God forevermore, I did my part and He did His!

There may be a small period of time between reckoning and seeing the blessed results manifested to ones walk. But we must understand, it does not become true when we believe it hard enough. That is back to self effort and with the pressure squarely back on our shoulders, No, it is true for every child of God right this very minute and has been since the day we were saved.

So why do we no see the results in our lives? Why does sin still have dominion over us? It is because we have never mixed the truth of the real accomplishments the blood of the Lamb wrought for us with the words of OUR testimony.

But when we do so, boldly proclaiming that our fleshly nature is not gradually dying, but DEAD, and that we are, right here, right now, new creatures in Christ where sin no longer has dominion over us and where Christ lives inside us, keeping us from falling, causing us to obey, it is that glorious moment when tumblers align and the door to Heaven swings open, allowing our overcoming nature to finally be manifested.

So why do we not yet have the victory that has been promised to us over the world, the flesh and the devil manifested to us if it is, indeed, fact? Ahh, simple. How does the Word say we initiate this amazing transformation? By our strenuous effort? By the passage of time? By doing enough "nice" deeds? No. There is but one way. By faith!

Why do we at times feel so empty, so disconnected from the one who said He would never leave us or forsake us? Because Christ dwells in our hearts how? By faith!

Do we not see? We have bought satan's lie as he whispers "Hath God said...?" And in doing so, we have given our old fleshly nature life, simply because of our ignorance in unbelief,

Our fleshly old nature tries to believe His promises, but cannot, because our hearts condemn us, even if God doesn't. We try, sometimes valiantly, but alas, we fail.

But praise God, the new nature we possess can. We are destined to grow in faith to the end we become established in it. And this is what God tells us is the "good fight of faith" to which each one of us is called.

God wills that we are not only saved by faith in His Son, but sanctified... changed... transformed... made more than conquorers.... in exactly the same way. We believe we receive it, simply because God spoke it. And we shall have it simply because our Heavenly Father has promised it.

We do not have to wait one second longer. We do not need to be more "ready" The flesh can never get ready! We do not have to wait for an "experience", nor the angels "stirring no our waters" like the lame man at the pool. The experience was performed when Jesus died and then rose from the dead!

Now. Right now, Faith is always NOW faith! God wants to bless us with the power to say no to the devil in every temptation. The victory we long for, the victory many of us have given up on as impossible in this life, can be ours right now. Why? It is done. We ARE new, this very day, and that is a fact, whether we believe it or not.

Do we not see these amazing promises of possessing brand new natures have eluded us for one reason and one alone? The promises have "not been mixed with faith in them that heard it".

You observe that I am Excited. Without questions do for good reason. God has showed me that this is what we all are being awakened to... the truth of who we really are.

And what is accomplished when we put off our old nature and clothe ourselves with our new overcoming one? We light our lamps. The oil has been inside us all along. And we, as the church of the latter days, are destined to awake to this amazing, glorious truth and see ourselves transformed into the church without spot or wrinkle, ready to meet her master.

Yes, God most definitely spoke to me. The Word has confirmed it to me. The results in my walk have been exactly as promised. As I hold up my shield of faith, to my joy and delight, I see the sins that once had me by the neck powerless to affect me. But most wonderful, I actually see God beginning to produce spiritual fruits in me. And if you knew me as I was before, the "old" me, you would have no doubt that miracles occur. LOL.

The amazing thing is, God has a miracle with each of our names on it. This is what Jesus spoke of in His rebuke and loving correction of the church at Laodecia. What was His counsel to these religiously contented ones, but ones He loved dearly?

1) Buy gold of Him, tried in the fire. And of what does He speak? FAITH!

2) Have our eyes washed so that we might truly see what we have been blind to for in my case, literally decades.

3) And finally, that we cast off our old garments and put on the new ones, glorious spotless ones so that the shame of our nakedness does not appear. New natures!

Glory to God! We are the blessed generation destined to see this new incredible awakening happen..... both in the church and in us! Oh, we can wait, and walk on in the wilderness of our unbelief a bit longer. Yes, God still loves us. But why wait when our land of promise(s) awaits? Nothing further needs be done. Today can be the day of our being delivered from the hand of our enemy, if we will but believe and doubt not. How much faith does it take. God tells us that we have just enough. It is finished. All that is asked of us is that we believe it so.

Thank you for being a part of this discussion. My prayers are for God to bless you fully with wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Gideon

P.S. As I hope this can bless others, I am going to make this a stand alone post. Some good stuff here and I pray others are blessed as well. Just know this was written directly to you.
