A Baptist...for most of my life

and that was the point I was trying to make a few years ago T&O, that while I admired the zeal of you and some of the other people who called themselves traditional, you had not been in the church long enough to be able to separate what was biblical and what was "tradition" in our church. Most of us have been around for forever and can give you the background and context to how the church has evolved over time... not that we are bashing the church, but that we know the church continues to have issues that must be dealt with... unfortunately, some see this as trying to harm the church.... but as someone has said, if the church belongs to God, it does not need us to defend it....

Actually, I've never once called myself a Traditional Adventist aside from this forum. We got labelled and that's the one that got stuck on my chest. Hello, I'm Lainie, and I'm a Traditionalist.

It clashes with my shirt sometimes, but it really is true.

I admire people's zeal for sticking to something they believe in too, even when it disagrees with what I believe in, so I really feel blessed when someone compliments me for the same thing.

I don't think our recollections of our conversations back then are the same though Stormy. I remember you apologizing and saying you had been very harsh, and then I remember someone not really accepting the apology (very unChristlike) and you reverting back to being harsh again.

BUT...I don't have a perfect memory and I don't want to go digging through that old stuff.

What I'd really like, is to enjoy this new start.

2+2=4 if that is "intolerant" then you can shoot me too!

I agree DJ--lol--I guess maybe some folks would perfer to believe that 2+2=5 (sometimes) or 6(when it's convenient)-lol.

To me, black and white thinking relates to stability. What does the bible say about this very thing? Let's see....

Jas 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

This is what I see evidenced in so many of the posts I read here. The thoughts are rambling and nonsensical from those who think themselves wise.

Now i know that also there are some who think because you AGREE with certain doctrines that you are a church puppet or a sheeple. I beg to differ. I HAVE listened to the other sides arguements and have rejected them.

And I guess thats' the hardest part for them to grasp--REJECTION of their theories.

I guess I'll just remain fat-dumb and HAPPY. I think it beats MISERABLE and 'smart' all to pieces--rofl!

I understand that the troubles here on CF really began on Yahoo Chat. Thankfully, a new start is on the way. It is amazing what happens when people continue to talk. Closing off communication just never accomplishes anything.

harsh and saying someone should leave the church is that like tomato to-mot-toe? I did apologize for suggesting that people were clueless and had no idea what they were talking about... I did not however ever suggest that you all leave the church.... be that as it may, everyday is an opportunity to start over.... time will tell who is interested in doing so, and who is not...

Oh Honor, you're not fat.
That reminds me of a joke told by Dr. Clyde Narramore. At one of his seminars a woman ran into him. She said, "You must think I'm a perfect idiot." "No," he replied. "Nobody's perfect."

Oh Honor, you're not fat.

That reminds me, I have to adjust my CF profile. I lost about 10 pounds on the lemon cleanse diet.

I lasted a week and I caved. How much fluids is one person supposed to humanly be able to drink?
