Does something trigger the switch? What results have you gotten in the past?

I just get stressed easily.. I have some rough health issues. I can be very strong in the face of adversity or weak. It's been a long time since I took this.. I remember once I got INTJ and another time ISTP or something like that. But i'm pretty different from then, or maybe along similar lines, not sure. The one thing that remains is the moodiness lol. I'm more mature but still kind of wacky.

Edit: Well I should've said I took it a few times, because I used to like taking it when bored. Got 3 or 4 different results.

I remember once I got INTJ and another time ISTP or something like that.

That might mean that you're a solid I and T, but a little middle-of-the-road on N/S and P/J.

Or it might mean that you've changed, or that one of the tests was a lousy one.

I've also tested as INTJ and INFJ. Introversion and intuition are my strongest categories. My thinking/feeling and judgment/perception, however, are fairly well balanced. The description that fits me best is INTP, but I see a little of myself in all four of the introverted intuitive types.

I always thought it was weird when I could relate so much to ISTJ because most of the letters are different. Until I learned about the cognitive functions behind the types and realized that INFP and ISTJ share the same cognitive functions... just in opposite orders.

The first time I took the test, back in college, the result was INTP. I've taken it many times since. Intuition is usually my strongest category, followed by introversion, thinking or feeling, and then perceiving or judging. I'm an introvert in terms of where I get my energy, but I can be empathetic and pro-social despite a preference for thinking over feeling (when making life decisions). Trying to reconcile cognitive functions once had me wondering if I might be a shy extrovert, but I'm not really shy. Although I relate better to the the INTP description than the other types, I often just refer to myself as an introverted intuitive type. It's less complicated that way... lol.

My dad is an ISxJ, about equally ISTJ and ISFJ, and we see eye to eye on lots of things. My mom, on the other hand, is an ESFJ. Although we get along well enough, and share certain fundamental values, our temperaments and priorities are quite different.


As far as tritypes go, mine is 5-4-1. The Researcher.

I'll take it shortly, and see what my results are. I'm curious as well. I saw some comments earlier about it, and wasn't sure how it differed from the first one.

The three quadrants represent heart, head and body. The original result you had represents your heart. But you'll have a clearer picture when the others are included.

If you look my results and reference the guide I provided (last link) you'll see a correlation between the quadrants. In my case, 3 and 8 are very similar. Success is the end goal. 3's are driven by achievement and 8's are driven by power. 8 reinforces my desire for success and provides the oomph to make it happen. Whereas 7 reinforces my extroversion and adds flexibility and optimism. 3 is in the driver's seat. The helpers aid me in my quest.

3 - heart
7 - head
8 - body

The wings introduce another element of influence. For example, a 3w4 would make me less extroverted and more singular in my aims. That kind of focus always comes at a price. Whereas, the 3w2 brings in the helper. She's a good girl. ;-)

Your 1w9 references someone who desires change but not at the expense of peace. Anarchy isn't your forte. There may be discomfort but you won't start a war to get your way.

Ah okay, very interesting. I'm about halfway through it now, this is intense!
