Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Oh, Yeshua also told the crowds at times: turn to Yhwh, BECAUSE HIS KINGDOM IS HERE, AT HAND....... and some became members. not many, but some.

We are ambassadors of the coming kingdom, not the kingdom itself. The kingdom is a thought within us at this time, and it is real in that sense.

Kinda like this

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Like one of the oldest proverbs, proven true always:

Before getting your son an 'education', give him a trade. (then he can make a living when no one else might, and then he can get an education if he wants)

Good advice. My son worked construction jobs while going to school. There are presently no jobs in his field but he is now an experienced concrete finisher making $35 an hour with great benny's.

Maybe that's because people don't take Galatians 5-6 seriously.
Perhaps.
Jesus still says "Whoever is thirsty, come...."
and
Jesus says He will never turn anyone away who comes to Him
and
Jesus says "THANKS AND PRAISE TO YOU FATHER IN HEAVEN
for revealing all about salvation in this life and in the life to come
to babes ! (who might not ever read Galatians)....

But yes, Galatians and all Scripture is absolutely TRUE, and never changing.

I have no idea what it's like to have a billion dollars while others suffer. Likewise, I have no idea what it's like to want the rich to give me what they have. My conscience matches neither.

From what Scripture says plainly , Genesis through Revelation,
you certainly DON'T want to know.

Instead, what is it Jesus said for all of us to do ?
What is it Jesus said each one of us was to give to others (physically) ?
Something we have,
or something we don't have ?

Remember He said , and Yochanan the immerser said,
"If you have TWO shirts.....
not
"If you have ONE shirt....
and so on....

Now you are advocating lawlessness, government was ordained by God to regulate human behavior towards righteousness, they are currently failing but its better than anarchy
That is why I don't understand conservative anti-government sentiment. Some groups advocate for no government at all.

How about Biblical recognition that all government of man will be wiped out when/after Yeshua returns
just as Israel had no government of man before they sinfully desired a government like other countries had ? (and they were punished for it)

I'm not one of them. I belive in submitting to law enforcement, but I don't believe in dividing the church over the deceptions of politics. Politics are a game that are designed to divide people. That's what politicians do, divide and conquer. They divide the Church as well.

Of course, there would be no need for it. But until then government has a purpose. Would you prefer complete lawlessness and anarchy?

A Black Lives Matter rioter said: 'Rich People Got all this Money and They Ain't Tryin' to Give Us None'

The sense of entitlement is breathtaking. To think that he, or anyone else, is entitled to someone else's money is at the heart of whats wrong with the BLM movement.

And there's the whole hidden philosophical underpinning that slips by in virtually every political discussion regardless of your leanings.

Is the money a person has rightfully his? That's the whole question the Black Lives Matter person is instinctively getting at, and what all liberals are getting at when they support measures like increased progressive taxation. With the huge decreases in pay with increasing hours (the "big economic squeeze") concurrent with extreme gains in wealth and income going to the top few percent, anyone with a sense of justice can see the problem for what it's worth. It's only people like neoconservatives who think the cash the rich (and especially the super-rich) have is justified.

So yeah, many members of the rich class aren't entitled, ethically, to the money they're making. Ethically, speaking of what a person should make relative to his actual work, things are very different than how the market works, which is purely according to demand. Poor people should be getting more money; the whole phrase "the working poor" shouldn't even exist. They're the ones working their asses off and getting crumbs while the super-rich are bogging down aggregate demand by not even being capable of spending the money they make.

I believe you're right. I've never seen the divisions in this country to be so extremely polarized than they have been during this election. It stirs up anger and hatred among the people, even among Christians who are called to love.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 13:34-35

Not that I'm arguing entitlement, but you raise an interesting question. Is a person entitled to more money than they need? Who is entitled to 50 million dollars? That's insane.

God said that?
no.

His Word is Trustworthy and True. He guards His Word and Reveals it to whom He chooses. (i.e. it is not by study we learn who the Messiah is, and not by study anything is revealed by the Father to us --- Jesus Praises the Father instead for REVEALING SALVATION and everything concerning salvation to BABES and hiding it from scholars (which makes the scholars mad unless they have been born again and grown in grace and in truth in Christ Jesus)....
