Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Did you not understand the verses? It even explains it. The KJV explains it clearly. The rich have already received their glory and "rewards" from society. Look at the celebrities....they have people worshipping them, they are LIFTED UP to glory of this world.

Those who are rich often place their righteousness in themselves. Did you not undertstand "and place your faith in possessions" in the AMP bible (which isn't even biblical anyways).

You're taking verses out of context!!! Jesus never said WOE to those who gathered treasured on earth...if he did, quote the scripture then. Go ahead.

Those other verses you quoted have to do with SIN! Not voluntary charity! Why don't you quote the WHOLE context instead of just 1 verse? Go ahead.

Jesus did say that, but not in those exact words. He said the eye is the lamp of the body, and if the light is darkness its very great darkness. That sounds woeful to me.

John says that if a brother has the worlds goods and doesn't help his needy brother then he doesn't display the love of God. You might want to stop thinking everyone is following some evil bible translation, and not be so quick to judge people words.

This is just what it says.
What's the problem ?

The rich man has layed up rewards for themselves. They won't give it up and take up the cross. Most rich people are like that (not all). It doesn't mean it's a sin.

Well, you will have to talk to someone else about that.
Jesus says it is "WOE" meaning in Hebrew damned, and totally a sin, in scripture. (look up "woe" in hebrew)
Whoever told you it wasn't a sin
totally duped you. You'll have to go all the way back to where that idea started in your life to find out how and why , and I don't have the time if you don't want to.

Love fulfills the law though. Legalists who search for loopholes in the law may not see it as a sin, but God will be the ultimate judge, correct? It doesn't matter what we say sin is or isn't, it matters what Gods judgment will be when we stand before him.

1 John 3:16 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Matthew 25:44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

I didn't know you spoke Hebrew, a dead language no one has spoken for 2000 years and was revived in the mid 1800s by satanic "expert worldly" scholars. Just look at the difference between modern English and classical English. If you expect classic Hebrew to be similar to modern Hebrew (especially considering it was dead), you're deceived.

The rest of us trust the King James bible. We trust what has been passed down generation to generation, the textus receptus. We dont care about the Hebrew. When god said he preserved his word, we believe it. There is a bible out there that doesnt have errors and is written in the common mans language, English. It is the King James Bible.

I use all bible versions. Even the KJV is imperfect. I use KJV too. Only an extremist would confine himself to one version alone when we have many that we can compare any scripture against. Surely you don't believe any English translation is without error.

Isaiah 40:8 - The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Psalms 12:6-7:
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

There are many other verses. Do you not trust ANY bible 100% at all? Even when god said there IS a bible that is 100% the truth!!!!!

It says the Word of God is pure, not that English translations are infallible.

It takes time to find work you love, and some people never do. Some of the jobs I had in the early days were brutal, which was strong motivation for me to start various businesses.

As far as responsibility goes, even Adam and Eve played the blame game.

True.
God blamed Adam.
Adam blamed Eve.
Eve blamed the snake.
And he didn't have a leg to stand on. ^_^

I would ask you all to consider carefully the effects that politics have on us and others, and to ask yourselves what our mission is.

Politics effects us all even when we are not involved in it in any way. We must be aware of what's happening in the world that we live in. God's kingdom isn't here yet. We can be fully in the world, but also fully not of it.

I think he was right the first time. The subculture is part of the problem, I agree. But, the lack of access to a basic quality of nutrition, education, and other vital needs, stereotypes and the lack of opportunity that result from them, the increased prosecution and incarceration rate of black men (which is indeed disproportionate to the extent of crime committed by black men), and other factors that have little to do with the African American subculture also make life incredibly difficult for black kids.

The problem is that many Black advocates want to see only the history of institutional racism and the more subtle form that exists today, without focusing on what Black people can do to improve their own situation, and many White people look only at at the flaws on the African American culture, while ignoring the effects of our own racism. Really, we each need to focus our attention on our own shortcomings, not on those of others.

I don't think you and many others here appreciate how dysfunctional the black community is. We have an unsolvable problem here.

According to Galatians, Ephesians and Revelation that applies to all society - whites, blacks, and every other culture as well.

The only solution Yhwh ever offers is Yeshua Messiah.

God's kingdom isn't here yet
You're right from your view and most of the world.

Jesus told ekklesia otherwise in Spirit and in Scripture and in Person.
(His Kingdom IS here, and was when Jesus was still on earth as well -
where-ever Yhwh rules IS HIS KINGDOM, all who HE DWELLS IN are already in HIS KINGDOM)

I will have to work past 65 years of age in order to save enough money to retire as there are very few places that have pensions anymore. QUOTE]

My company has no pension program either, so I bought an apartment building to fund my retirement. And I am still working at 76. Life is good

Politics do effect us, they lead us astray. Politicians are like false teachers. They don't teach us anything good either. They teach us to put trust in man instead of God, and to be divided instead of united, to be greedy instead of charitable, to be covetous instead of content.

The Kingdom is here, although not in its fullness. WE have a measure of it and that's our blessing. Our blessings come from God through the spirit, not from politicians through worldliness. Paul said the kingdom is not about eating and drinking, but peace, righteousness and joy in the spirit. He was also rebuking his listeners when he said that, because they were divided and contentious, much like we are in politics. Its found in Romans 14.
