I wonder who's fault that is? Maybe the video shows 1 reason why. Blacks are furious with the cops because the way the cops treat them and have treated them for so long now.

I can say it because I've looked at the statistics, something that emotional charged folks who rush to judgement refuse to do.

Unfortunately, a good percentage of the U.S. population believes that you should be able to resist arrest, spit on law enforcement personnel, run from them, fight with them and break all kinds of other laws with no repercussions whatsoever.

If you feel you are wrongfully arrested seek legal assistance to get the charge or charges dismissed.

That doesn't mean whole lot to me. You can look at stats that may be as bias as the one writing them, or you can just look and see what's happening for yourself. However, if one doesn't want to see something, no matter how real it is, they will not, or maybe not until it's too late. It may have started being too late when those black men cut loose on the cops and fought back.

People need to wake up, some are liable not to put up with abuse forever.

I have reviewed this thread and see no citation or appropriate reference relative to these statistics. You made the claim - you need to support it. And it is certainly not our job to challenge statistics you have not even provided a credible source for!

The article stated: "There were 511 officers killed in felonious incidents and 540 offenders from 2004 to 2013, according to FBI reports. Among the total offenders, 52 percent were white, and 43 percent were black."

The article also looks at stats from 1980 through 2013 and finds similar results. The article uses FBI stats as their resource and contains links.

Based on the stats I'm reading, police are more likely to be killed by white offenders than black ones.

As much as we all need to support our various police agencies, the public still have a responsibility to make sure that these same agencies are held to high standards. Sadly, beside the many rogue police officers that are at large, we also have many disreputable local police agencies, along with numerous police unions that are little more than criminal gangs themselves.

If you bothered to listen to the video, the man was ordered to show ID and he was going to get it. How do you know he was at gunpoint? You could not see either cop.

He was shot because the cop was scared and probably wet his pants.

No that's not what was said. I can't quite make it out but nothing about "I.D." was said and the man's movement was very irregular.

Because how fast they could shoot him. Cops don't like it when you get out of your car without being asked to. They tend to draw their weapons just in case in those situations.

Insulting the cops isn't a valid argumentative position. They were clearly right to shoot due to the man's odd actions....the exact type of desperate actions when a man is going for a weapon.

In the video I do hear the word gun but the sentence is far too short to include "I have a concealed license" as well. I think he says "I have a gun" and then goes quickly into his car. Naturally the officer was concerned he was going for the gun.
