3abn Continued (2)

Didn't look like Danny will be stepping down anytime soon. He stated that he will not be involved with the everyday activities at 3ABN but will be more involved with evangelism. There was more but my memory keeps me from quoting more. He did say a lot more.

I liked the idea of the yellow box. That way no one has to pay someone $200.00 to install a little 3ABN dish on top of a roof. I asked Moses Primo for more information.

Yes I am sure that is it. Amazing Facts, the general conference and ASI all clanned together in a few days and made a huge move that involves hundreds of people because Danny was in a corner.

It is one thing to openly investigate allegations of pastoral abuse to ensure that there is no basis for the allegations and another thing to simply take the word of 3abn leadership that it is mere gossip or rumor. There is enough documentation out there that it should be properly addressed. Until that happens, there are many in the world who will feel that there is a cover up. They will still have unanswered concerns and questions and it may be a stumbling block for them.

Near the end of the program, Doug Batchelor said that "they'll know us by our love for each other". Look out of the 3abn doors, Brother Doug, at the people of Thompsonville. Go and ask Duane and Roger Clem and the other alleged victims of pastoral abuse who have experienced the feelings flowing from the co- founder of 3abn towards them. Ask them about the love they see flowing from the leadership of 3abn. Is Christ being lifted up to those alleged victims and their loved ones? Or, has it made better business sense to allow those alleged victims to remain as necessary sacrifices to protect the image of the President and his family? If this is the case, there is a real danger of one day hearing those devastating words from the lips of our Redeemer found in Matthew 7:22-23:

22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Let me just ask this: what president of any company says on live television that they are giving their office of presidency of a worldwide ministry up to the guy sitting next to them saying "he doesn't even know this yet, but.....". who does something like that?

And BTW, Danny did say he was going overseas in the very near future. I think he said China & Taiwan could he be avoiding all the chaos this landslide will bring or possibly lawsuits or worse or less? who knows. I'm sure he needs a break for whatever reason.

Yesterday, April 18, Elder Doug Batchelor, of Amazing Facts, addressed the Board of the Sacramento Central SDA Church in regard to some changes in his duties. As I write this, Elder Batchelor is in flight to the HQ of 3-ABN, where in a special TV program, these changes will be announced tonight. Then tomorrow, Elder Batchelor will fly back to Sacramento to preach Sabbath. These changes have been approved by the President of the General Conference, the President of the NAD, ASI, and the Executive Board of 3-ABN. Danny Shelton is resigning from his position as President of 3-ABN. I do not know, at this point what continued role Danny Shelton will have in the administration of 3-ABN. He is expected to announce today, that he wants to have more free time to devote to however he wants to spend his time. Elder Doug Batchelor will become President of 3-ABN. The two ministries are expected to continue but under the unified leadership of Elder Batchelor.

One thing I personally was glad to hear was Doug B. saying, "as with all mergers, a new board will be selected". (paraphrased from memory)

Truth I am speechless at your post. I will address one thing at a time.

1. You have no idea what I know about what Doug B thinks or feels. It might surprise you.

2. As for day to day operations you heard what you wanted to hear. What he said was that Mollie has pretty much ran day to day operations (as she should as general manager) and that would continue. There are things she can't do or take care of and he sees to those issues. He said the issues sometimes detract from evangelizing (not that he hated them) The name of president had been discussed knowing that titles won't make a whole lot of difference in the scope of things but officially, I don't think there can be 2 presidents (I could be wrong on that) Anyway, the titles may be a little different Doug president/director and Danny ceo/founder but the roles remain the same at both AF and 3ABN. The titles are there because there is a need for them. That's it. Mollie will not do any more than she has been doing and Danny will not to any less than he has been doing. The change will be whenever AF and 3ABN team up to evangelize throughout the world. How they do it, where they do it, what speakers are going to do what, where, that kind of thing.
As far as Doug looking uncomfortable? Again seeing what you want to see. Even though this has been tossed around for quite some time it was Doug who decided he would like to branch out and make this merge at this time as long as 3abn was still willing. They had been willing for quite some time as mentioned on the live. So, why would Doug look uncomfortable? Furthermore he said several times what wonderful things these ministries could do by merging. No one pushed him or forced him. He has a perfectly succesful ministry on his own so there would be no reason for him to look uncomfortable.
I captilized because the same rumors keep going around and I figured some may need to read capitals to let it soak in that: AF is not taking over 3abn. DS did not hand 3abn's presidency over to Doug, he handed the Title of presidency to him. DS is not stepping back or down and will continue to be CEO. Maybe to make it simpler, he has always been President and CEO of 3angels, Now he shares the titles with doug by giving him the title of Pres while he retains the title of CEO.

There will be a combining of boards. 3abn will retain some of theirs while AF retains some of theirs and there might be an addition or 2 from ASI

No Greg, Gailon and the others are wrong in their take on the situation. You are quoting from GM who got it from sources earlier in the day like that is supposed to take precedence over what came out of Doug and Danny's mouth tonight on the live. You can't find any better sources than the 2 men themselves telling it how it is.

Thats interesting. I distinctly heard Danny hand over the presidency to Doug. Danny did not say that he would be giving him the title without any position, you are the one who said that. It has been speculated that Danny would be perpetrating something fraudulent like that for the purpose of making people think that he was giving something that he was not really giving. If you are correct that Danny's hand over of the presidency was fake, what else that we heard tonight was just sleight of hand?

You know, You all are doing the only thing you can do at this point, to try and find ridiculous reasons for every word spoken. I just read on BSDA where someone even said this might have happened because Linda had a new lawyer? Oh my goodness. People have really lost it. These things time, prayer, meetings, phone calls, several meetings etc... The GC doesn't care if Linda got a new lawyer, ASI doesn't care if Linda got a new lawyer, Doug B and His entire Board does not care if Linda got a new lawyer and neither does DS or 3abn. How desperate and ludicrous can people get than to think that all of these people have made life changing decisions in a few days because Linda got a new lawyer.
Every person, ministry, church leader etc that has supported 3abn must be corrupt. Again ridiculous. When are you people going to open up your eyes and see it is not the GC, Doug B, Amazing Facts, ASI, THE AF board, the 3abn board, John L, The thompsonville church, David A.......Lord knows who else.....are not the ones wrong...you internet posters have got to come to the realization that you have been led astray by a conspiracy of people with their own agenda's and motives. Many of you have never met Danny or Linda, or Doug or most of the other people or organizations named but continue to believe the likes of the Gailon Joys and Bob Pickles and Sisters of the world. It even goes totally against the odds that all of the above named leaders, pastors ,ministries, church leaders, evangelist, who have been intimately involved with 3abn are all wrong and most of you who have no personal knowledge of anything are right. Even though you all can't stand the thought, you are going to have to stand back and take another look at the situation. As SDA's you should be praising God tonight for this union that will be the most powerful tool that the Adventist church will have at their disposal.

Of course he will have his position and will go on spearheading his team just the way DS will go on spearheading his. Who knows, by the time all of the details are ironed out, titles may change again. This is not something that either ministry has jumped into lightly or quickly. The details are mind boggling and will take plenty of time but, when the ink is dry Mollie will still continue her job as GM, DS was still continue his as leader of 3abn and Doug will continue his vision with Amazing Facts. All will work together to make the impossible, possible.

So, you said that Danny handed over the title but NOT the position. Doug will continue to head up AF and Danny will continue to head up 3ABN. So the hand over of the presidency of 3ABN by Danny to Doug was not real then? Again, if your assertion is correct it raises questions about the validity of everything else that was said tonight regarding this merger. This, BTW, was your assertion, not Danny's.

i see a lot of assuming, not real truth to what your saying. are you writing a novel? i mean all these "allness" statements aren't worth reading. you are just blabbering.
