What is the point in continuing to word the inquiry as "What do Calvinists...?" Either predestination is true and scriptural or it's not.
I do not feel left out.
I wanted to know why "Calvinists" is always your focus in these posts and not the alleged subject, predestination.
Absolutely. But that's not the whole of the issue. First, it would be necessary to know what "Calvinist" means or is supposed to mean in this discussion. Can you separate the two?
I think I've shown it's the predestination Calvinists believe.
This is the way it should be asked:
Is there such a thing as predestination?
Did God predestine everything?
Does God's predestination change?
..
Absolutely. But that's not the whole of the issue. First, it would be necessary to know what "Calvinist" means or is supposed to mean in this discussion.
Do we not have the choice to ask what the meaning of the question is supposed to be?
Do I not have the choice to freely word my questions as I choose?
To separate predestination from Calvinism, is removing the heart of Calvinism.
What, to you, is the definition of 'Calvinism?'
Nobody said you didn't. But your questions, as worded, showed that you had an obvious bias, which meant that you were going to receive some "heat" from the way those questions were asked. And you did, as you rightly should have.
If you wanted a discussion that could have actually had some benefit, my way of asking the questions could have provided that. But you had to put your bias right up front, because you can't stand the idea of a Calvinist being right about anything.
So, just to make sure there is no question where I stand,
Yes, there is predestination,
Yes, God has predestined everything,
No, God's predestination does not change.
.
Actually no, it doesn't.
Calvinism is based on the TULIP, and none of the 5 points mention predestination.
This idea of yours, that predestination is the heart of Calvinism, is a fantasy. It is false.
.
False.
