Did anyone else literally laugh out loud when Martha stabbed Logan? I was rolling, I don't know why. It was kind of expected, and I'm a little shocked at how unstable she is, but it just struck me as really funny for some reason.

I <3 Aaron. What a good man he is, standing by her like that.

Oh yeah it was hilarious. Martha was all incredulous, like why are you all upset at me? "I should be given a medal!" LOL. Aaron is awesome and such a patient guy. After this I don't know if his patience will stretch that far but we'll see. I hope it does - it might really help Martha. Anyways do you all think Logan is dead? Bad day for US Presidents, eh?

Would somebody please put Chloe out of her misery? She has got to be the worst actress on a drama ever. She really belongs on a soap. She never, ever smiles and looks perpetually constipated.

And since I missed a couple of years, could somebody fill me in on Jack's ex who supposedly died in a car crash in China? (I'm thinking she's probably still alive somewhere)

Jack's ex is Audrey Raines. She is the daughter of the (then) Secretary of Defense. They broke up a couple seasons ago and got back together last season.

Did I miss something last night? How is a former President of the United States - one who is on house arrest and has been given a special dispensation to leave the grounds, no less - stabbed by his ex-wife and taken by ambulance to a hospital where he may or may not be dead, and it doesn't even get a passing comment on last night's show? Someone please tell me I missed something.

Thanks for the link! I know what you mean about not a mention of last weeks knife attack. It was very odd as I think everyone was expecting a follow-up segment. I chalk it up to bad writing or editing. Something definitely slipped through the cracks.

The knife attack was simply predictable. I was laughing my head off when that happened.

This past episode was really great. I was on the side of my seat for most of it. It is kinda low on Jack but he does end up saving the day at the end of the episode, so no further complaints. Does anyone else think that Karen and Tom will start working together instead of trying to kill each other again?

OK, so who is the mole THIS time?

Milo--since he is playing the "offended friend" to the hilt? Or the new guy from Denver (Rick Shroeder) who is choking Natalia?

It can't be Chloe because that would really get 24 fans in a tizzy--We LOVE Chloe! She has the best scowl on TV! The show wouldn't be the same without her. Ironically, in real life, she is actually very, very funny.

I suppose it could be Morris, but he just was tortured a few hours ago with the old Black and Decker in his shoulder, so that wouldn't make sense.

Upon first contemplating the mole possibility, I thought that somehow the terrorist had gotten into the CTU computers knowing that Nadia was of Middle Eastern descent.

I am starting to think otherwise mainly because of what happened in Season 1, where the moles turned out to be people that we trusted. Would the producers try to do this again, or could my initial speculations be right?

My thought is that there is no mole, and that the Russians have simply broken through CTU security on their own and are manipulating the satellite images and placing the blame on Nadia.

Oh, and I found it funny when Doyle accused Milo of wanting to sleep with Nadia, a professed Muslim.

Muslim women tend to take their virtue a lot more seriously than your standard generic Westerner.

I agree with this premise also. I think the Russian's probably knew of Nadia and also the recent crackdown on Muslims and used it to their advantage. It gave them perfect cover....for a while at least.

I think 24 is having an off-season. I'm still not over the fact that Martha stabbing Logan, who was under house arrest and had a special dispensation from the Veep and CTU to go meet with her, has not even been mentioned in passing in the last two episodes.

The guy selling government secrets last night was Brian Krakow!

(My So-Called Life fans will know who he is.) I think we were supposed to be touched in some way by Jack's empathy with the brother, but... I wasn't feeling it.

There needs to be a big twist / shake-up / fresh idea soon, so I can go back to loving 24 again.

Well I will give it to the producers for this episode. The early parts were kind of "ok, let's get going here". Then they come in and SNAP, here's stuff you're totally not expecting! Gredenko chopping off his arm to break off the pursuit! Then double crossing Fayed in a bar full of people! And Wayne Palmer, evil prez??? About to strike back with nukes! WWIII? Is he bluffing, trying to prove he's not 'weak' and different than his brother, or just hopped up on adrenaline? Guess we'll have to wait till next week!
