Went to St. Augustine (oldest city in the USA) with my mom, sister and niece for my 21st birthday. As a history lover, I am like a "kid in a candy store" when I visit St. Augustine.
Castillo de San Marcos Fort
I've rolled down those hills ma'am.

I use to live in Jacksonville and we would visit St. Augustine often. I don't remember much since I was younger, but I do remember having the urge to run up and rolling down the grass around the castle. I'm not sure if it's just a certain festival or if it's year round, but I remember there being a time we went and the everyone was dressed as "in history". There were women outdoors spinning wool dressed to the T of the days of settling. It was REALLY neat. Very cool historic place. I like reading about history, but not as much as actually seeing it. There's something about walking around or touching something of old like that. I always wonder what person in the past might have stood in places and touched something I've touched years later...."If walls could talk" type reflection. Anyways, this just got me to remembering some times I hadn't thought of in years!...
