Yes that is how I talk to animals.

lol...I do that sometimes too but I also tease him by calling him "Maxine" (his actually name is Max) and "Ignorant" when he is ignoring me...I am sure that he understands what I say because he tends to become more sulky after that .

He has very expressive eyes and is actually the most affectionate cat that I have ever had apart from Misty who died a few years ago.

What makes him even more adorable to me is that he has three legs. My second cousin gave him to a couple but they didn't want him after a while so now me and my family have him which I am happy about .

Yep, you really can. Sometimes when I laugh at something he is doing he will look right at me and give me evils lol. I am sure that he is pretty smart for a cat.

Oh no, he loves the attention. He is a bit of an attention harlot....even when he is sleeping he snores loudly lol. If you don't pay him attention he will start being extra cute to get it.

It is actually the first time that we have had cats who get along, Max (the one in the pic you quoted) copies Harry and they usually playfight and sit together.

I don't think I ever heard what breed Luther is? I guessed a Lab mix, or a Pit mix? Was he a rescue puppy? He is SOOOOO cute, you guys are so lucky to have him. I've been pining for a dog for so many years, and just can't have one

At this time, we really have no idea. We adopted him from someone who rescued his litter. She said the mother looked like a lab/great dane mix, but uh, the puppies were all itty bitty things, so... I'm having a hard time believing he has any dane in him. All the puppies were much smaller than lab puppies would have been at their age. We've heard guesses of "some kind of terrier", lab, pit, chihuahua, Jack Russell, border collie, etc. We think he is just a mutt (having more than 2 breeds in him).

I was going to post some pics of Rascal, too, earlier, but I started looking through them and it made me cry. So not going to do that yet.

Reminds me of my ex's guy - a Maine Coon. That cat... I remember meeting him. We walked in the back door of her house and he was sitting on the washer looking outside. I shut the door and turned around to see him looking me in the eye. To call him large seems a gross understatement. I was wondering if a puma had broken in and was hanging out in her laundry room.

oh and he was "small" at 18 pounds. I would imagine that it would be like meeting your prom date's father who is currently cleaning is .44 magnum revolver when you come in.

My vet says my cat suffers from stress.. It must be very stressing to lay in the sun all day

Since we're posting kitty's, this is her:

You'd think she'd be uncomfortable but she was in that position for long enough for me to go inside and grab my camera, so maybe it wasn't as bad as it looks

I have a cat that likes to sleep in things, too.
Your cat makes me want to squish her so bad! I love oragne kitty's... I used to have one. She was beautiful and VERY friendly... that being said, they stole her.

I wish my life was as simple as a cats, too. But then again, I'd have to eat iteresting things... that's not so simple.

Maine Coons can be huge. The first time I saw one at a distance, I thought it was some kind of wild animal. Mine might be part Maine Coon, but there's no way to know for sure. He might also be part Norwegian Forest Cat. In any event, he's a 15 pounder that acts kind of like a dog. He greets me at the door, follows me around, occasionally fetches his ball, and makes a sound that's similar to barking... although it's not as loud as a real bark.

This is what happens when I leave an unfinished lollipop in a bowl on the counter. My cat thinks everything - and I mean everything - is a toy. We're constantly chasing her down and pulling weird objects out of her mouth.

Ohhhh my gosh, he's so beautiful! I LOVE MAINE COONS. My beloved cat of 14 years was a MC...he was the perfect cat, I loved him so much. Here's the only pic I have on the computer of him:
