Again, you use the wrong word.
It's not "to be balanced', but rather "to be BELIEVED", which you obviously do not do.
Balanced is chosen for a particular reason.
Hate you mother, father, brother, sister.
Honour your parents.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, patience, self control.
Children of satan.....
Do not murder
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.
If you believe in me you will never see death.
If you chose not to forgive on earth, so will it be done in heaven.
Forgive your brother from your heart.
These are not absolutes, but balances, and emphases.
It is not easy to see the application these are being addressed at, but in time
it becomes clear, that in the right circumstances and with the right subjects it
works.
It is also why Jesus was not an idealist. He is prepared to deal with us, be our
friend and work and walk with us through the highs and lows.
And we are redeemed, purchased and brought into the Kingdom despite being
imperfect, yet walking and following. This in itself appears to be a contradiction,
yet also a spiritual reality. Why have continual sacrifices? Because the walk is
a walk of sanctification and transformation rather than arrival. If you think you
have arrived, you actually have not yet begun.
Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace.
2 Corinthians 13:11
The cynics and unbelievers claim it is not even worthwhile aiming for something that will never happen, but then that is why they do not know Jesus.
