Being OCD, it is difficult to not be in control, which self-control goes against faith.

I remember going through this as God was bringing me into faith. What I experienced was the worst thing I've ever done but also the best thing I've experience.

God broke that part of me down by revealing how my need to be in control was the root of my problems. Afterwards, God built me back up, in his image, and taught me faith. I asked him how to keep from falling back and I heard him speak saying "be baptized and fellowship with other Christians".

I didn't belong to a Church before that so I know thou can have a good relationship with God without finding a Church right now. Spend time in prayer. This can occur anywhere or any place that you are. Speak to our Father in heaven, silently, so as not to bring attention to yourself. Share everything with him, remember there is no better Father.

Knock enough and the door will be opened.

i have ocd and i cant feel sorry for sin as it messed up my feelings and i repent and ask for forgiveness but im worried theres a sin forgot about and ill go to hell for it.

what did jesus mean by not all who call on him will enter heaven

God is a God of mercy and grace. If you forgot a sin, God is not animpartial judge that shrugs and says, “Rules are rules.” You are forgiven as you have forgiven others. Forgiving others honors the fact that you are forgiven, not because you earned it or deserve it. You are forgiven through grace, so if you forgive others, your focus should be on how you can actively demonstrate love for others.

I’ve never understood why so many Christians focus on sin. Think about it: When God asks what you did with your life, are you going to say, “I didn’t steal or kill anyone”?

Or do you want to say, “I worked at a food shelf that fed the hungry. I worked as a mentor in the Big Brother/Big Sistr program that helped kids that needed good role models. I stood up for a kid in school who was getting bullied.”?

What did he mean tbat not everyone who says, Lord, Lord” will enter the kingdom?
Sadly, a number of Christians will accuse other Christians of going to hell, negating salvation, because it disagrees with their doctrine. Pay no attrntion to those people.

What Christ was saying was that if you do not love your neighbor (gave the example of not feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, caring for the sick, and visiting those in jail), then you aren’t following Christ.

In the context of his day, he scolded the Pharisees for knowing how much of their herbs to tithe (minor importance) while ignoring major issues, such as God’s mercy, and justice.

He told the story of the Good Samaritan, a people who were thought to be very sinful, showing compassion to the beaten stranger, while the priest and levite passed him by, possibly following the law of cleanliness before entering the temple, but missing the bigger picture, of not helping the stranger, seeing the stranger as their neighbor, and understanding caring for the beaten man took priority.

Christ often warned the Pharisees, who prayed publicly for men to see them and think them holy, who focused on small matters (strained a gnat) but ignored the call to love, to show mercy, compassion (swallow a camel).

I don’t believe they are sent to hell, but rather, in only pretending to be holy while inwardly acting full of self, condemning of others, self righteous, lacking empathy, they demonstrate that they choose not to follow God. They separate themselves, for as they neglected others, thy have done so to Christ himself.

Again, and remember this: God wants you to have eternal life, and loves you. If you accept God’s love, you will be transformed by that love, and living a life actively loving your neighbor is all you need to focus on.

You are saved through grace and mercy, so even if you have forgotten a transgression, it is not your specific request of forgivesness that forgives you. You do not “do” anything, but rather are forgiven out of God’s love and mercy, and in so, are to extend that mercy to others.

well my ocd messed up my feeling so i dont feel guilty or bad a bout sinning but i still ask for forgiveness and a person said to me before it was fake repentance i was doing
I would be inclinded to ask them how is it they know my thoughts and feelings so well, are they God?

Pay no attention to those who claim to know your motives.

Your sins are between you and God, no one else has anything to say or do with them, so smile and ignore them.

Unless you suffer from OCD, you have no idea what a hassle it can be. I have OCD, ever since I was a little boy. I remember back as far as 2 years old, acting in an OCD way. I am what we call a checker. Always checking the doors, windows, etc to make sure they are locked. Checking over and over and over, it drives me nuts. If anyone thinks you can control this, guess again. But 60 years later I am still living with this crazy disease. In many cases, OCD can become schizophrenia, and thankfully I'm not there...
