Last two months of my 20's....boo. I dont like the idea but I guess it had to happen at some point. I would feel better if I was married and further along in my career...but my troubled past has left me beind in life. Feeling depressed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

True, thoughts of god and the afterlife make me happier. But I feel like I have messed up this life and wish my earthly exp was more pleasent. I found god at 29, I wish it would have been much sooner. Cant change it though and I understand a lot of people feel not soo great in this world.
I guess it is kind of selfish but I want to have a family, a house, a dog, friends all of that stuff. But I am just starting my career and I live alone and have no friends. It will get better I know it is just rought right now.

thanks, I try to remain positive and blessed for what I have. I think it is just my human nature to feel like I should be further than I am.

I feel this way too, but I try to focus on the many blessings I have in life and the ones I look forward to getting. But you are right, I'm sure things will get better

I think a lot of people feel like this in their 30s...I know there are things I want but do not have. I focus on the things that God has given me. The other things He gives in His time...

Conquest by virtue takes more time. So you had to figure it out as you went along. You still have a chance to make it work out better once you get everything assembled, if that makes sense.
I married at 28 and am still in college with kids who are almost young enough to be my own (I'm 33 this year). It's cool though, don't sweat it, just enjoy the fact that you were able to deal with that past you talk about. Many didn't.
