  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Obedience of Faith

Romans 1:1-7 ESV “Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in...

    Repent & confess every sin?

Repent & confess every sin? Jesus added thoughts to the law (Matt 5:28). So, this notion we must confess & ask forgiveness for every sin isn't possible & shows a lack of faith. When the Holy Spirit reveals a sin, of course we should change direction/repent. Not begging for forgiveness, but...

    Bring Them Back

James 5:19-20 ESV Believers Who Wander from the Truth It is possible for believers in Jesus Christ, at some point, to wander from the truth and to need to be brought back to repentance. This is not the same, though, as those who profess faith in Jesus Christ but who never die with Christ to...

Should I repent even if I don't feel sorry for what I've done?

I recently committed a great sin but am afraid to repent of it. The reason why I am afraid is because in order for God to forgive you of your sin, you have to truly be sorry for committing that sin, which I'm not, then ask for forgiveness, which I haven't. The reason why I want to ask for...
