  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Being conformed

On many christian forums, you find Threads that discuss "predestination", "Predestinated" "Predestined elect".. And what i notice is that all of this, when its discussed, does not discuss it correctly. Its the "predestined" part, that is the misunderstanding... So, lets say that we try the...

    #Coronavirus Without Grumbling & Complaining

A well presented, biblical case for how to deal with the virus from Pastor Jeff Durbin. Should we obey the government if following their orders destroys families by destroying the economy? Yours in the Lord, jm

    A Middle Ground

For a long time I was a staunch Arminian. My Calvinist buddy and I would debate back and forth, each holding forth the “obvious” scriptures which supported our positions, and then doing as many hermeneutical gymnastics as we could to explain the opposing side’s scriptures. Although these...

My Views on Calvinism and Arminianism (From a 'Neitherist.')

This is not meant to be a point of debate. I am just putting forth a hypothesis. This is not the Word of God. I am neither a Calvinist nor an Arminian, but embrace both soteriological standpoints in a paradoxical way. The Bible teaches both, I believe. I was wondering... since God is beyond...

    Lutheran question

I am not Lutheran, but I saw the question posted by someone else in another thread. The person asked if Lutherans can be considered Reformed.
