  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What Jesus Teaches About Truth And Light

Jesus teaches that God has a plan to save mankind. Jesus himself is the crowning achievement in God’s enormously complex plan. Simply put, God loves his creation so much he sent his son to die so that we might live. Jesus was sent by God to save us. “For God did not send the Son into the...

What Jesus Teaches About Our Spiritual Birth

We all know the story of Nicodemus, the Jewish leader who came to visit with Jesus one evening. It’s not clear if he came in the night so no one else would see him, or if this just happened to be the time when Jesus was available. What is clear is he was curious to know more about the...
  3. What Jesus Teaches About Temptation

    What Jesus Teaches About Temptation

We all deal with temptation on a daily basis. One of the first lessons we learn from Jesus, is how to deal with temptation. Temptation comes from the world, not from God. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from...

    Are Christians Crazy?

To unbelievers, The Way of Christianity is often seen as fanatical, and that may not be a bad term. In fact, radical and fanatical is precisely the path followers of Jesus need to follow in a world that is largely going in the opposite direction. When believers are born-again, their old life...

Struggles Are An Opportunity To Experience God’s Love

When we’re caught up in the middle of an especially difficult time, it’s hard to see the bright future that will surely follow. It’s important for us to expand our perspective beyond the present and look back at past experiences. Remember how God came through for you over and over again in...

    Songs In The Bible

There are about 185 songs in the Bible, most of which are found in the book of Psalms. There are in the neighborhood of 35 songs, chants, dirges, and hymns scattered throughout the New Testament. The first song is the song of Moses found in Exodus 15 and the last song is in Revelation 15 with...

    Largest Churches In America

There’s some conflicting information regarding which church actually ranks on top, but this list certainly covers 10 of the largest churches in America. I’m not sure what to think about the whole mega-church movement. I’ve never attended a mega-church (a church with attendance over 2000) so I...

    You Are Extraordinary

Let’s assume that all things created by God are exactly as he meant them to be; therefore, since you were created by God – you are exactly as he meant you to be. You are a flawless design. Now, you might look in the mirror and see something less than what you would describe as flawless...

    The Enemy

There’s a battle raging all around us every day. Good and evil are in a constant battle to win the hearts and minds of all of us. In addition to the external battle, this battle also rages inside each of us. Those who have turned their back on God have been overwhelmed by the enemy. Those of...

    Back To Basics

We have an enemy in this world that is constantly trying to distract us with things that do not pertain to God, or worse, distorting the truth so that we spend more time than needed on what we believe to be Godly endeavors. Yes, it’s possible to spend too much time at church and neglect the...

    One With God

    Celebrate Your Faith

As followers of Jesus, we have reason to celebrate every moment of every day. We were lost and now have been found. From the moment of our salvation, we have been safely in the hands of Jesus guided by the Holy Spirit. “Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this...

    Life Is Difficult

Take a couple of minutes right now to celebrate God’s love and mercy. We are so undeserving, yet God has provided us with a Savior. Let’s take some time today to praise God for his willingness to set aside all of our misdeeds when we acknowledge his Son and seek to follow his teaching...
