  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What did they teach you in school , flat or round earth?

I was taught the globe lie back in the 1970's with this moon landing deception. No school (in America) was going to teach a flat stationary earth.

All teachers were doing is teaching what they have been told to teach from science books.
Which is the correct thing to do when one is a teacher. It is how ideas are transmitted through generations.

You must have heard of it; education.

And there it stood lurking in some dusty corner of the classroom the biggest lie of all.

And no matter what TV program or film you watch these days, there it is depicted in full view. Why ? It's like they have to keep the masses brainwashed.

At an early age I believed all their nonsense until one day I began to ask questions. And when I began to read the Bible that is when it all began to make so much sense, praise be to God for the truth.

:praying:
Are we on this stupid stupid stupid notion that the Earth is flat?

Good grief let it go.

Yes & No I'm not going to let God's creation go.
But neither are those of us who believe the earth to be a globe. We tell you repeatedly that we fully believe that God created all things.

Why is it ? If teachers were to teach that the earth is level (which some may believe) then they would find themselves out of a job.
This has actually happened to several teachers.

I had a science teacher, tell me last school year that she believed in a flat/stationary earth. But was teaching what the curriculum from the school was, which was a globe earth. This is in a private school not a government public school.

I get quite a few people telling me they also believe in a flat earth. They tell me because of the back of my truck.

It is not a flat earth teaching school system, that is turning out violence and murders. No it is a school system that teaches the globe and evolution lies about God's creation. An now can be added all this a transgender/gay education agenda.

I am 70, which is close to 80, and I was taught the earth was round. 80 would put those people the OP was talking about as graduating from high school in the mid-60s, which seems really dubious, unless he is 80, himself, and asked those 80 year olds that question when he was 10. Then it would be more believable, but still dubious.

You didn't know, did you?

Seems to be pretty effective in cutting violent crime, doesn't it? And of course, public schools don't support or deny religious ideas.

Flat earthers love making claims without any supporting evidence. It seems to be their primary M.O.

I forgot that @d taylor lived in the State of Mississippi. No wonder he thinks the earth is flat. There's only 800 feet difference between the highest and lowest elevation across roughly 400 miles.

I've seen of a few of them, who come up with good tests of their idea, and then agree that they need to do some consideration when the tests don't show what they expected. They aren't all head-in-the-sand people.

But that’s the difference. They are not all trolls sticking fingers in their ears. They can actually carry a conversation and are willing to learn what is true or not.

Some of them. I've had some interesting talks with people like that.

Jeran Campanella, who runs the popular Flat Earth YouTube channel 'Jeransim,' traveled to Antarctica as part of a trip dubbed 'The Final Experiment' to learn about how the sun circles the earth(Image: The Final Experiment)
In a surprising turn of events, a well-known flat-earther conceded that his long-held conspiracy theory was incorrect after embarking on a 9,000-mile journey to Antarctica.

Give the man credit for integrity.
