  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Darwinian evolution - still a theory in crisis.

Please keep that in mind, the next time you see me called a YEC, OEC, Last Thursdayist, Omphalist, or anything else but what I claim to be.

Thanks.

(And I find it interesting that our premier "you're a YEC, whether you know it or not" poster here gave that a WINNER emoticon.)

But you ARE a YEC though. No matter how you dress it it with 'embedded age', you still claim that the Earth was created 6000 years ago. That IS Young Earth Creationism. Show humility and accept it.

No, you've not done it here. But on all the other threads you've taken part on, you've shown it plain and clear.

Rabbits in the Precambrian will not pwn evolution.

It will just make it stronger.

Your former question has been agreed to.

I don't understand what you're harping about.

Man ... I can't even agree with you guys and get a smile, can I?

None of that is true in the slightest.

Evolution cannot be pwned or made stronger. It's just a fact of biology, that populations of organisms change in response to external stimuli from their environment.

The theory of evolution cannot be pwned or made strong because it could be shown to be wrong the very next day.

But of course, you don't care in the slightest.

I thought that one only had one proponent.

AI Overview?

Some believers hold to the idea that God embedded real age into his creation ...

Oh, wait.

AI Overview is talking about something else.

... a theological concept known as the "apparent age" or "Omphalos" hypothesis. This concept suggests that God created the universe and its contents with the appearance of maturity and an implied history.

Nevermind.

And he is the main one I'm talking about.

Ya ... I'm all alone in this, aren't I?

AV1611VET: Rabbits in the Precambrian won't pwn the theory of evolution. It will only make it stronger.
OTHERS: Don't quote your misinterpreted Scripture to us.

If you boys are done talking about me, can we get back to rabbits in the Precambrian, please?

Thanks.

You didn't even have a point with that since you say that it won't matter because you say that evolution will wax stronger and stronger, which is obviously you linking it to Satan and the Antichrist.

Insincere I name thee.

Note, dear lurkers, AV shows his insincerity by tacitly ignoring the second half of the comment (which I now notice had a spelling error - should be stronger or not strong):

"The theory of evolution cannot be pwned or made strong because it could be shown to be wrong the very next day."

Again, insincere I name thee.

Also, note to the wise, control and B bolds everything. Do not misclick.

Oh ... ya.

Don't you interpret embedded age as "maturity with history"?

Even when I underline "without"?

It's still the same load of pseudo-religious crock that you push to fit scientific knowledge into your literal reading of the Bible.

It still stinks to high heaven of wanting to eat your cake and have it too.

If this is what you meant, then I have to admit you have defended your stance.

Good job.

Even when you added "the very next day," despite the fact I made it clear they would have to go back to their drawing boards and redesign their paradigms by crunching numbers and moving decimal places and boundaries as needed?

They're fast -- but they're not that fast.

Right, deist?
