Not a "one upper", just showing there is no room for either side to complain really.
Some will like the changes, the rest of us won't.
Why is there a need for “sides”, though?

I’m sure that for most people this is not an issue for which they’ll trouble themselves to form an opinion over one way or t’other.

There's usually sides.
Even God has "sides".
Does a person want to go to Heaven or Hell?
If a person doesn't meet His requirement which is on one side, then they are basically choosing the other side.

I think you're missing the importance of antique decor. Whatever liberals were crying about was ridiculous by comparison. I just hope they keep the section with an ungodly assortment of odd and interesting candy. If that remains, there's still hope.
Nope, not missing the point. As a buyer/seller of antique decor at some point or another, it has it's place. But it's not the end all of things.
Yes what they cried about was silly.
How often do you go to a cracker barrel in a year would you say?

That escalated quickly.

It's a Christian Forum, so God will be brought into some things eventually :)
What’s God’s opinion on the logo/decor update?

A Company decided to change its logo.
Some have chosen to make this change an issue to “fight” about; I wish them well, it’ll certainly be entertaining (probably), for a few days (until something else comes along to wrangle over).
I’m going to eschew this one though, what that says about me, I dunno, but there’ll be other things I’ll weigh in on.

Enjoy the battles you* pick!

Did you say that in the last few years to those who were in an uproar over this sort of thing...

What's God's opinion on being in a christian forum?
What does God say about being in a christian forum if you're an atheist?

I mean, we could come up with a long list of these type of questions if ya think about it.

Right, it’s all irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

Yes, it's ridiculous this is a thing with conservatives. I understand the Aunt Jemima stuff. Thats pretty rank. That does make sense. I don't think they're equal in value as far as complaints go, but I do think it's all gotten ridiculous. I would rather we focus on other things like quality leadership, folks with integrity. But since those things don't matter, let's squabble over restaurant decor. I guess this is the best we can do.

Look, I went to Cracker Barrel a couple weeks ago. I know my way around the place. I always get double hash brown casserole, even if I'm not ordering The Country Boy breakfast, but that's my usual. I also get grits and substitute sourdough toast for the biscuits. Goodness, I'm hungry.

This is another go woke go broke situation. Where the CEO wants to change the company's image. Apparently not having any appreciation for who her customers are. What the main demographic is.
This, and their change in décor, isn't woke. It's another example of management that doesn't have a clue. Trying to jump on the "woke" bandwagon initially cost them customers. Trying to revamp the restaurant thinking that will bring them back is a failure to deal with what went wrong in the first place. The most profitable action would have been to quietly ditch the few token woke gestures and say nothing more about it. Instead, they're driving way customers who shrugged about "woke" or didn't know it was ongoing.

Slick move, guys. Note that they seem to be doubling down on the changes.

Oh, well. No one's required to eat at Cracker Barrel. Hate to see it go under, but it's their problem, not mine.

This is silly. Why does it matter if they change the logo? For all the conservative complaints about whining liberals, they sure do get upset over stupid stuff. I think conservatives need a big hug.
Have you seen the new logo? When I first saw it, I wondered if they'd been bought out by Denny's.

Frankly, the new logo stinks. That's not a conservative thing; that's not a liberal thing. It just stinks. They altered the font just enough to look like it could have come with Windows and chose a design that leaves a lot of blank space. What are they saying with that? "Come to Cracker Barrel. There's plenty of room now that we've driven our customers away?"

What's worse, they had a better logo staring them right in the face. Take the original, logo, remove the man in the rocking chair and the barrel, and presto! It's distinctive, makes a better use of space, and conveys the message "We're still Cracker Barrel."

Well, it's them and their business. What's left of it.

And that's good. But if a restaurant starts to make radical changes, customers are going to think the food is next. Seeing the new sign at an Interstate exit is going to convey that sense.

The quality of the food has declined in the last 5+ yrs. Plus some of the recipes seemed to have changed.
That was already affecting them, so this may or may not push it over the edge.
